Creative Cards | D-lish Scraps

Hello Friends!! I'm back today with my second share for D-lish Scraps this month which is based on the newest Inspiration board. A mix of my favourite colours Hot pink, Teal, greys and white. Yay!

For this board I thought I'd try my hand at creating some more cards to add to my collection. I really like how these turned out and can't wait to send them off to friends as a little note to say Hello.

Both cards have similar clusters made up of pretty Paper Flowers, sequin bows, a tag and some wordfetti/journal its

Here's a closer look at them both

With this card I layered a 4inch doily with a Dip-Dye tag behind the sequin bowJournal It arrow and Typed phrase. The flowers I've grouped together are 2 of my favourites - Forget me nots and Carnations, along with 2 others no longer stocked and some Stamens tucked into the top.

For this card I've used similar blooms as the other card, plus a beautiful Magnolia. I've fussy cut around a coloured Jumbo 'Note' ticket and layered it with a 4 inch doily, some aqua PunchinellaCardfetti and minifetti, a Hot pink Sequin bow and then finished it off with some Enamel shapes.

Thats all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Back tomorrow with my final share for the month

Until then, Happy Scrapping

Girls Day Out | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello. Today I'm here to share my first layout for D-lish Scraps this month. I'm documenting a cute photo of Leila and our friend Charlotte during a Girls Day out date. I love the soft feminine colours of the Bloom collection by Maggie Holmes as they've blended perfectly with the products in the D-lish Shop

I've been quite inspired by so many circular style layouts lately, especially the Stretch your Sketch series by Ashley Horton & Missy Whidden. This layout was inspired by the sketch they've created for that series.  And as I've used quite a few pattern papers on the background design, I kept the embellishing to a minimum. I really love how its all turned out.

Here's some close ups..

I added some extra texture to each of the circles with some machine stitching, and set the embellishments out in small grouped clusters

To ensure the Kaisercraft Alpha stickers stay put, I've sewed through each line.

I'm trying my best to add some form of journalling to each page I create. Sometimes it's not always possible, but a sentence or 2 are all thats needed.

I layered the photo stack with a doily and added a Corbett Creation Bow to the bottom left corner of the photo. I also added a hint of gold sparkle with some glitter paste

The embellishments I've repeated within the clusters are: Paper FlowersResin flowersWood veneer hearts, and 2 flair buttons. I've also tucked in some die cuts from the Bloom collection Ephemera pack, and a wordfetti strip.

Thats all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by.
Back tomorrow with my second creation
Until then, Happy Scrapping!

Birthday Girl | Scrap The Girls

Hello!! Welcome back to my blog. It's been a couple of weeks between posts, so I'm back with something new!

Today is the start of a new month, which means its time for a new challenge with Scrap the Girls. This month is a sketch, and I can't wait to see how everyone else interprets it.

I've used the new Love Always collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio for this layout. The soft pastel tones are just beautiful, and suited the photo quite well.

Here's a look at the sketch

As per most sketches, I couldn't help it. I had to rotate it and I came up with this..

The photo I've documented is from Leila's first Birthday, almost 5 years ago. Can't believe how fast the time is flying. That little cutie starts school next year!

To create the splattered effect I've used a cut file design from The Cut Shoppe with die cuts from the Ephemera pack in the Cocoa Vanilla collection

Love the floral designs within each of the Cocoa Vanilla collections, these however take the cake! LOVE!!

I've stitched through the alpha stickers to ensure they stay put, but also for a little added texture and detail on the page

and lastly the final splattered cluster..

Really really happy with this layout, its so soft and pretty and a perfect way to document this precious moment.

That's all for today. Be sure to check out the Scrap the Girls blog to see what the other team members have made. And don't forget to share your creations with us!

Until tomorrow, Happy Scrapping

You're So Fine | The Cut Shoppe & Creative Scrappers Link up

Hello Scrappy Friends!
I am so so SO excited to share this layout with you all!! I've been itching to share it since I made it!!
!!!!! Excited much?? Lol

This month The Cut Shoppe has teamed up with Creative Scrappers for a sketch reveal, and Boy is it a challenging and inspiring one to use!

Here's what I came up with..

Again I've scrapped a photo of Leila being cute haha
You can see I was inspired by the circular elements in the background of the sketch and thought it would be awesome to weld a few different circular cut files together to replicate the look.

I've used elements from both the Around & Around and Boys Rule cut file collections. I've welded them all together and cut them out on white cardstock, then backed them with different pattern papers from the Better Together Collection by Amy Tangerine.

Once the circles were complete, I've adhered to the page using foam tape to lift them off the page and add some dimension.

I added a couple of layers behind the photo, including my all time favourite Doilies..

Then added embellishments from the co-ordinating puffy stickers and die cut ephemera packs

Be sure to stop past the Creative Scrappers blog to see all the other creations made by The Cut Shoppe team, and don't forget to link your layouts up at the bottom of their post

There is also a discount code and free cut file set available for the entire month of August.
You can find the link to download on the Creative Scrappers blog post HERE

Netflix & Chill | The Cut Shoppe

Hi Everyone! I'm back today with another share for The Cut Shoppe

I've really been inspired by the string art craze of late. There's so many amazing creations out there to be inspired by, and some perfect Cut files in The Cut Shoppe Etsy store to create with. I've also been binge watching a lot of things on Netflix lately, so there was one cut file I had in mind that was perfect for documenting this story

For this layout I've used the House design from the I Heart String Art set. I cut the design out on white cardstock, then went crazy with some yellow twine to add to the string art effect. Once complete I stapled the house to some vellum and adhered it to the pattern paper background using foam tape.

Here's some close ups..

All pattern papers and embellishments are from the July kits from the Hip Kit Club

Thanks so much for stopping by today
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Elephant Wall Art | The Cut Shoppe

Hi Everyone!
Today I'm here to share something for The Cut Shoppe thats a little different to the usual Scrapbook layout or card.  I really wanted to share another way that you can make use of Cut Files and your creative skills.  So when Ashley shared the Hul-la-ba-zoo Cut file collection I knew exactly what I was using for this project.

The recipient of this framed wall art loves Elephants, and I had been searching for something similar to this design for quite some time. I was super excited to see it being released!

I wanted to keep the art free of any distracting embellishments so I've kept it very simple and only used the Elephant design and her name.

The entire artwork has been hand stitched with a variety of pink embroidery threads to create an ombre effect. Many nights on the couch stitching in front of the TV = a beautiful handmade gift

To create a stitching template I enlarged the cut file in my silhouette studio to the size preferred, then selected the 'perforate' option in the Cut settings
This made it easier to hand stitch the design on the cardstock using a simple backstitch

To finish off the frame I've hand stitched her name using the darker pink thread. To do this I wrote her name on some transparent baking paper and poked holes evenly along the lines

Thats all from me today, thanks for stopping by
I will have more to share in a few days
Until then, Happy Crafting!

Fresh Garden Blooms | D-lish Scraps

Hello! Another layout share for D-lish Scraps today
This one was inspired by a Cyber Crop Challenge set by Sandra in the Scrap Suite

I've chosen to document something other than Leila for this layout. Hooray you say? Well her albums do lol They're running out of space! The variations of Daisies we have growing out the front are still blooming! I didn't even know that was possible this time of the year. But then again, I'm no green thumb. We pretty much just stuck anything in the garden to try it out and see what happened lol

Here's what I came up with to document the memory of our first Jar of Blooms

I chose 4 different pattern papers from a Simple Stories 6x6 paper pad, sorted out a 3 word title, settled on 2 photos of different sizes and found a Journal it card to match the collection. Last I chose 5 different embellishments from the D-lish Store to compliment the photos and papers within the collection used - Paper Flowers, Flair Button, D-lish Dots, Sequin Bow and some Resin pieces.

Here's some close ups

I've used the largest size paper doily under all the layers

Die Cut shapes, alphabet stickers and papers are all from the So Fancy collection by Simple Stories

Thats all for my D-lish Scraps shares this month
