Moving House...

Hello :)
Michelle back today with my last layout for Scrappy Canary this month.
I still have plenty more of the June Globetrotter kit to create with, so I will be back with more next month. But, back to todays layout....

Still quite a simple layout for me, but one that adds in a few extra layers and a fun little cluster

I said the other day how much I loved the ephemera pack, today I repeat that! So many fun little bits that work well with any style layout, not just travel related

I've backed the instaframe with some vellum to soften the yellow paper behind it, then propped the globe up with some foam tape to give some dimension to the page.

And lastly a cluster made up of pieces from the ephemera pack, an asterisk from the thickers pack and a cork arrow sticker

Thanks for stopping by today,

Hello new adventure

Hey Everyone
This is layout # 2 for me this month using the most recent June Globetrotter kit.

Another simple, less layered, more spread out layout.
One that not only documents getting the keys to our new house, but the start of a new adventure for us as a family. Ive even managed to scrap one of all those spare keys within one of the cute Maya Road envelopes

Love all the little bits within the Atlas ephemera pack.

And the key, tucked away for safe keeping

Thanks for joining me today, one last layout share from me during the week thats a little more layered than the last 2

Big tub, Small girl

Hello Everyone
Today Im sharing a layout using this months Globe-Trotter kit from the Scrappy Canary!

Im all about super simple layouts at the moment due to limited time to scrap.
But Im loving the way they are turning out

First up I grabbed some complimenting papers to lay across the page in strips. I ripped the ends off for a little texture. Then I layered some tissue paper under my photo to give it some dimension and added in bits & pieces from the ephemera pack all over the page. Lastly a mixed Thicker and handwritten title, and some splatters of Navy Color shine to finish it off.

Really love how simple and quick this was to create. Cant wait to get crafty again with more of this kit!

Mothers day at Kinder

Hey Everyone
I'm back for a second time today with yet another belated layout share.

This layout is a little different to usual. Im sharing a way that you can incorporate Kids art into your albums, rather than keeping it all out of sight like I do. We have a tub full of it here which I hope to make use of in the future.

I really wanted to make the photos and handmade paper stand out, so Ive used kit contents that compliment and blend well together. I love the end result!

The art made by Leila, was originally used to wrap up a present that she had made at Kinder

A closer view of the left hand page

The cards made by the children were quite cute, with a drawing and printed verse on the inside. I added the sticker embellishments to match the page :)

Such cheesy grins!!

Closer view of the right hand side

One of my favourite photos of the day. She had so much fun showing me around the room, and the activities that she enjoys the most

The Pink Paislee glitter word was just perfect to finish this side off

Thanks for stopping by again. I hope this inspires you in some way to use up Kids art rather than keeping it in tubs like I normally do.

Baby's first Selfie

Hello everyone!!
Today Im sharing a layout created last month for Scrappy Canary.. Whoops!!
Life got a little crazy towards the middle of June, and it hasn't really stopped since.
This layout was made with the May Sweet Treat kit, I have more layouts to share with the more current June kit real soon.

This page is documenting one of Leila's first selfies with Mumma. I went with soft simple layers, a signature doily and minimal embellishing. I love how it turned out

I almost added those hairpin words to my hairlip stash, but thought they looked a lot better on the page ;)

A mini mixed cluster using a Shimelle button, pink paislee glitter heart and a gold thicker star

I've dipped into my stash of letter stickers to add to the gold thicker title

And lastly a chipboard strip and sparkly gold heart to finish the page off

Thanks for stopping by
More to share with the newest kits very soon!

You & Me...

Hello everyone
I'm back with my last share for D-lish Scraps this month

Quite a simple and easy layout today.
I started this layout with some watercolour paper, water brush and my watercolour set. A rough few squiggles of watercolour, and a sprinkling of Pink glitter

Light embellishing with this layout. A Gold spot heart from stash layered with a Journal it from a Monochrome packFreckled Fawn arrow clippaper flowerResin heart and coloured wooden button

I layered some coloured Muslin behind the photo stack to give some texture and dimension

A super simple title using some Studio Calico gold alpha stickers, a skipping5 puffy sticker and a wordfetti strip

Lastly to finish the layout off, and to balance it out I added to more wordfetti strips and a sprinkling of gold sequin hearts in random places around the page

Thanks for joining me the last few days

Happy feet...

Hello again
Back today with layout #2 for this month at D-lish Scraps

This layout started around the time of the June Cyber Crop.. I was inspired by Monica's challenge using this colour palette

I started my background by smearing some texture paste then 'smooshing' some Kaisercraft mists using the plastic packaging technique with water

The layout itself took me 2 days of stop starting and procrastinating to finish off, but Im happy with the end result
Compared to yesterdays layout, Ive Jam-packed the dish goodness onto this one! Lots of happy clusters,

and a pop of dimension using bitty bags and foam tape

Embellishments from the store came from the Paper flowers section, flair buttonscoloured wooden buttonsResin flowersFreckled fawn paper clipscardstock framecoloured muslinwordfetti strips cut into flags,

A cute handmade crochet flower - to tie in with the flowers on Leila's shoes, more resin productscoloured wire twisted into a heart shape, printed wooden buttonfelt Polka-dot bow, another paper flower and a Journal it from a Monochrome pack

More coloured wire, twisted into a rough heart shape; another coloured wooden button and resin flower; a pink peg thats been given a slight hint of sparkle using a Wink of Stella glitter brush,

And lastly part of a journal it cut down as a flag, a resin flower, mini resin butterfly, sprinkling of pink glitter and a few random pink star sequins.

Thats all from me today

Lets go on an adventure...

Hello Everyone!
Today Im sharing my first layout for the month with D-lish Scraps

This layout was made for the current D-lish Scraps Inspiration board. I wanted to show that you can definitely use the colour scheme for non masculine layouts.

I struggled a little with the navy colour as at first I thought it was black. By the time I realised it was actually Navy it was a little late, but I still rolled with it

Ive based the layout on the sketch, which I flipped around to the right. I started the layout with a white cardstock base, and some My Minds Eye pattern paper. I swapped out the viewfinders on the Board for pretty doilies as they're the same shape. Using some whipped spackle and a mask similar to THIS ONE. Ive added stars to the top left and bottom right of the papers, then splattered with Navy colour shine and sprinkled with wood veneer stars.

To build up the photo stack, Ive used a 5x7 bag, cut down and overlapped the pieces together to make a smaller rectangle. Then Ive layered a bitty bag on top of a Vellum bag from personal stash. I popped a tag from stash inside the bag for journalling about the photo.

I tried to keep the embellishments to a minimum, some Journal It's from a monochrome pack, a word strip from a wordfetti pack. Banner flags cut from other Bitty bags layered on top of a doily. I made my own 'flair' using a wordfetti strip and pieces of Bitty bag and an Epoxy Resin seal. 2 resin pieces and a Sequin bow make up the last of the cluster.

Lastly I tackled the title with some mixed alphas from stash, and a simple Freckled fawn arrow clip.
