Sing & Dance

Hello Everyone!!
Just a quick reminder that there are less than 6 days left to get your entries in for this months Sketch Challenge over at Scrappy Canary.

Heres a reminder of the sketch designed by Scrappy Canary Owner and Designer Manda

On one of my crazy crafty weekends recently I made this with pieces from our current Memorandum Scrapbook Kit
I've made a few slight changes to the sketch with placement of the top flags and title, and possibly an extra layer of pattern paper or 2 :)

Simple alphas from the kit mixed in with some old school favourites from my stash make up my title.

A close up to show the distressed layers and my most favourite Doily!
Ive embellished lightly with stickers from the included sticker sheet and one of the awesome Amy Tangerine exclusive pieces..

Don't forget to head on over to the Scrappy Canary blog and enter your layouts for a chance to win a Canary Shop voucher :)

Fun at Geelong Show

Hello!! Today I thought it would be fun to share the double layout I made. Its been a while since I last made one, but this came together so easy and quickly too.

This month I was so excited to see the main collection "Creative Agenda" used in all kits that I had to get my hands on them all :) I love the bright colours and patterns on the papers. Then late last week when the 2 main kits arrived (Memorandum Scrapbook kit & Note to Self Pocket Life kit) I went a little crazy with the creating!! So far I have squeezed as much out of these 2 kits as I possibly can, making 3 single 12x12 layouts 1 double 12 x12 layout, 1 full Pocket Life spread and 2 6x8 layouts. Ive still got more left to make others!

This layout was inspired by the bright circles of the Watercolor Dots paper on the right side. It reminded me of the fun we had at the Geelong Show last month, so I thought it would be perfect to use for those photos.

As It was a multiple photo layout, I wanted to add some dimension to the page, without overdoing it too much. I only wanted to use a couple of pattern papers for each side. I distressed and folded up the edges to 'lift' them off the page a little.

I added in minimal embellishments to balance the pages out, using stickers and dots from the kit..

And the awesome Amy Tangerine Exclusive heart speech bubble to finish it off!

October Project Life take 2

Hello Everyone!!

Today I thought I would share a few more pockets full of memories within my Project Life album.

Im still adding to my October layouts using the Hollyhocks Pocket Life kit from Scrappy Canary, so these are just a few different pocket ideas that Im sharing today.

Machine stitching over alpha stickers helps keep them in place, and adds a little touch of fun

Adding a simple strip of pattern paper behind the photo/s adds just that little pop of colour

White grid cards for journalling, combined with stickers and staples are the easiest way to journal

Flip up pockets work perfect to add in extra photos that don't fit within the full layout

If you run out of pattern paper for a base card, use a plain card from your stash and mat the photo with left over strips.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!
