March Sketch Challenge

Hooray its Sketch Challenge reveal day for Life Paper Scrapbook

This is what we had to play with this month :)

And this is the layout I whipped up last night

I flipped the sketch slightly so that it worked for me, but its turned out awesome!
Ive used the Yes Please range from Amy Tangerine for this layout. LOVE the colour combo! It suited the colours of Leilas tshirt in the photo so well. You can find the entire range of Yes Please over at Polka Dot Creative, be quick as things are selling out fast!!
I started with a 12x12 sheet of corrugated card and spritzed and splattered a white Mister Hueys mist around the page. I then scrunched up the 3 papers from the 6x6 paper pad then flattened them out and stapled them onto the page. I used the strips from the tops of the 6x6 papers along the top of the page with an adhesive flair badge.
Ive used the Aqua ombre thickers from the Studio Calico Sundrifter range, and Sherbet mini market alphas from October Afternoon. Loving doilies right now and found a massive packet of mini ones at a local market last weekend. Winner!! And how cute is the hearts and arrows paper!!

And I gave the stitching templates from the Yes Please range a try to add a different element to the page. Im not entirely happy with how it turned out, but I can live with it :)

Sketch Challenge Before & After

Today I thought I would share with you my 're-worked' layout that I made for the Life.Paper.Scrapbook Sketch challenge here a few weeks back. I changed it up because I didn't feel that it was finished enough, nor did it showcase the awesome stamp set that Kellie sent me to play with. I am happy with how its turned out now. It looks complete!

this is the layout before I changed it..

And this is how it is now..

Much happier :) I was able to add 3 more stamps from the Best Friends stamp set. YAY
The other extras are all from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm range. My go to collection at the moment!
Hope you like it x

Project Life Week 8

Now its time to share the remainder of my Week 8 layout YAY!

TA DA..

Lost for words lol that doesn't happen often! LOVING this new range from Dear Lizzy! I knew I would when it was released at CHA. Good mix of dark and light, bright and not so bright that all tie in together well.

I have the Design F and Design E photo pocket pages from the Becky Higgins Project Life range (Available for us Aussies via Craft House)

The Left Hand side
This was a super quiet week, with not very many photos to choose from. I filled up spare pockets with a Gloria Jeans card and a quote card from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm embellishments pack. All papers and most stickers/embellishments were form the Lucky Charm range. The only added extras are the black SMASH tape, pink Sn@p numbers and the black glitter tape on the FEB card from In a Creative bubble..

A close up of the star, which I adhered to the outside of the page protector. And a photo of my partners sister, who at the same age as Leila is now, looks almost identical.

The Right Hand side as shown earlier today in the Life.Paper.Scrapbook Colour Challenge post

And close ups of the Thickers used (also a Dear Lizzy product from a previous collection)

And the chipboard 'Thicker' embellishment that was part of the Lucky Charm Chipboard stickers pack.
I have used a white grid journaling card underneath which I sprayed with 'Tinsel' Color Shine before sticking it down.

All products from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm range are available from Polka Dot Creative, but they are selling out SUPER FAST!! Head on over and check out all the goodies Jodie has available in her little shop! Service is AMAZING!

So thats my week 8.. Week 9 is half complete and should be blogged about in the next few days :)
Happy Friday Everyone, thanks for stopping by!

Project Life is a concept designed by Becky Higgins. It is a range that works anyway you want it to. You don't have to embellish your layouts or use any extra products like I do. You can easily record an album full of memories with just a Core Kit, bulk pack of page protectors and a 12x12 Album. I purchase all my core products from Craft House - Exclusive stockist for Australia and New Zealand.

March Colour Challenge - Life Paper Scrapbook

Today I'm sharing my 2nd Colour Challenge for Life.Paper.Scrapbook

This challenge was a tricky one for me as the colours we needed to use aren't normally what I keep in my stash or would use in my Project Life layouts. But, I managed to find some papers in my new Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm 6x6 pad!!

This was the colour palette we had to play with

And this is what I came up with

This is the right hand side of my week 8 Project Life Layout. I managed to get some bigger 4x4 photos scrapped using the Design E pockets by Becky Higgins. I used 4 of the papers from the 6x6 paper pad and embellishments from various packs out of the Lucky Charm range which I purchased from Polka Dot Creative. Ive also added some glitter tape, glitter thickers, a doily, arrow paper clip and black smash tape from my stash.

I will share the remainder of the layout for you in the next post later today. Ive used more of the Lucky Charm collection for the other half and its looking pretty awesome so far!

Sponsor for this months Colour Challenge is The Greatest View - another awesome mini shop on Etsy that sells gorgeous flair buttons, mini paper bags, ribbon, bakers twine, doilies and tags.

The Leibster Award

I had never heard of this award until my awesome friend Raquel awarded it to me.. Thank you very much lovely xx It means a lot that you thought of me for this. Now its time for me to pass it on to someone else :)

The Liebster Award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion. It is awarded to blogs that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage new visitors to them. Once you have been nominated, you award it to five other blogs.

The rules are: post the award on your blog, give the award to 5 bloggers who you appreciate that have fewer than 200 followers then leave a comment on their blogs to let them know you have given them this award.

This was a tricky one for me to award as most of the blogs i follow have more than 200 followers, so Ive gone searching.. Here are 5 blogs I think you should check out:

Life.Paper.Scrapbook
New online scrapbooking blog that features lots of talented scrappers! Sketch and colour challenges to follow along with monthly, prizes provided by some awesome sponsors!

Audrey and Bear (Karen)
Karen is also a Project Lifer. Lots of inspiring pages and a super cute mini book to check out in the first few posts!

Documenting Chaos (Sarah)
Sarah is another Project Lifer. Lovely pages using a good mix of products :) And so up to date!

Caz Hancock
LOVE her style!! Caz created both traditional and Project Life layouts! Super talented and has just over 200 followers but I just had to add her to the list :)

Manda Moore
Finally got to meet this lovely lady in person at the Melb Scrapbook Expo last weekend. Her style of scrapping is a lot like mine :) Super simple and focuses on the photos rather than a page full of product :)

Check them all out :)

Life is..

Crazy  Busy  Hectic  Full  Awesome

I have just recovered (kind of) from a full weekend in Melbourne assisting Craft House with the very first Australian Scrapbooking Expo Debut of Project Life. It was amazing! Being able to show this fantastic product to more people who had no idea what it was, or how it worked, was SO MUCH FUN!

So creating has been pushed aside for the moment, but will soon return.

I will be back soon
