You're So Fine | The Cut Shoppe & Creative Scrappers Link up

Hello Scrappy Friends!
I am so so SO excited to share this layout with you all!! I've been itching to share it since I made it!!
!!!!! Excited much?? Lol

This month The Cut Shoppe has teamed up with Creative Scrappers for a sketch reveal, and Boy is it a challenging and inspiring one to use!

Here's what I came up with..

Again I've scrapped a photo of Leila being cute haha
You can see I was inspired by the circular elements in the background of the sketch and thought it would be awesome to weld a few different circular cut files together to replicate the look.

I've used elements from both the Around & Around and Boys Rule cut file collections. I've welded them all together and cut them out on white cardstock, then backed them with different pattern papers from the Better Together Collection by Amy Tangerine.

Once the circles were complete, I've adhered to the page using foam tape to lift them off the page and add some dimension.

I added a couple of layers behind the photo, including my all time favourite Doilies..

Then added embellishments from the co-ordinating puffy stickers and die cut ephemera packs

Be sure to stop past the Creative Scrappers blog to see all the other creations made by The Cut Shoppe team, and don't forget to link your layouts up at the bottom of their post

There is also a discount code and free cut file set available for the entire month of August.
You can find the link to download on the Creative Scrappers blog post HERE

Netflix & Chill | The Cut Shoppe

Hi Everyone! I'm back today with another share for The Cut Shoppe

I've really been inspired by the string art craze of late. There's so many amazing creations out there to be inspired by, and some perfect Cut files in The Cut Shoppe Etsy store to create with. I've also been binge watching a lot of things on Netflix lately, so there was one cut file I had in mind that was perfect for documenting this story

For this layout I've used the House design from the I Heart String Art set. I cut the design out on white cardstock, then went crazy with some yellow twine to add to the string art effect. Once complete I stapled the house to some vellum and adhered it to the pattern paper background using foam tape.

Here's some close ups..

All pattern papers and embellishments are from the July kits from the Hip Kit Club

Thanks so much for stopping by today
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Elephant Wall Art | The Cut Shoppe

Hi Everyone!
Today I'm here to share something for The Cut Shoppe thats a little different to the usual Scrapbook layout or card.  I really wanted to share another way that you can make use of Cut Files and your creative skills.  So when Ashley shared the Hul-la-ba-zoo Cut file collection I knew exactly what I was using for this project.

The recipient of this framed wall art loves Elephants, and I had been searching for something similar to this design for quite some time. I was super excited to see it being released!

I wanted to keep the art free of any distracting embellishments so I've kept it very simple and only used the Elephant design and her name.

The entire artwork has been hand stitched with a variety of pink embroidery threads to create an ombre effect. Many nights on the couch stitching in front of the TV = a beautiful handmade gift

To create a stitching template I enlarged the cut file in my silhouette studio to the size preferred, then selected the 'perforate' option in the Cut settings
This made it easier to hand stitch the design on the cardstock using a simple backstitch

To finish off the frame I've hand stitched her name using the darker pink thread. To do this I wrote her name on some transparent baking paper and poked holes evenly along the lines

Thats all from me today, thanks for stopping by
I will have more to share in a few days
Until then, Happy Crafting!

Fresh Garden Blooms | D-lish Scraps

Hello! Another layout share for D-lish Scraps today
This one was inspired by a Cyber Crop Challenge set by Sandra in the Scrap Suite

I've chosen to document something other than Leila for this layout. Hooray you say? Well her albums do lol They're running out of space! The variations of Daisies we have growing out the front are still blooming! I didn't even know that was possible this time of the year. But then again, I'm no green thumb. We pretty much just stuck anything in the garden to try it out and see what happened lol

Here's what I came up with to document the memory of our first Jar of Blooms

I chose 4 different pattern papers from a Simple Stories 6x6 paper pad, sorted out a 3 word title, settled on 2 photos of different sizes and found a Journal it card to match the collection. Last I chose 5 different embellishments from the D-lish Store to compliment the photos and papers within the collection used - Paper Flowers, Flair Button, D-lish Dots, Sequin Bow and some Resin pieces.

Here's some close ups

I've used the largest size paper doily under all the layers

Die Cut shapes, alphabet stickers and papers are all from the So Fancy collection by Simple Stories

Thats all for my D-lish Scraps shares this month

Love So Sweet | D-lish Scraps

Hello Again fellow Scrappers!
I'm back again with another layout share for D-lish Scraps and another Selfie of Leila and I. Seems to be our thing right now.

I really LOVE how this turned out! It involved a little bit of experimenting with Silhouette Studio, including multiple cuts, loads of wasted paper, but I got there in the end..

I started by making a basic cut and fold file in Silhouette Studio. I only have the basic version and have NO idea how I can share the file with you all, but If I figure it out I will add it in eventually.
I backed all the pieces with papers from Maggie Holmes Bloom collection and added a D-lish dot to the middle of each that can be seen.

Here's some close ups..

Oodles of D-lish heaven right there!!
As the background is quite busy, I kept the embellishments pretty simple, apart from this main cluster. I've dipped into my flower stash again using a few of my favourites: Pastel petals, Forget Me Nots, Wax Blossoms and my newest favourite Magnolia (all linked at the end of the post). These flowers complimented the colours and patterns within the bloom collection perfectly! I also squeezed in a pick n place bow and a new fancy tassel.

Thats all from me today, I will be back again tomorrow with one final share for the month.
Until then, Happy Scrapping

Hello You ROCK | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello!!
It's time to share the first of my layouts for  D-lish Scraps this month.
Today's layout is based on the colours from the newest Inspiration Board

Each month I like to try my best to create something based off the board, even if it's not a feminine based colour palette. As you would know by now I mainly scrap layouts of Leila, as there's not much else that we take photos of around here lol

For this layout I took inspiration from the chevron pattern middle right, I had a cut file in mind that would work perfect for this

Here's what I came up with

Even though the quality of the photo used isn't that great, I still wanted to document it. I surprised Leila with another fun concert outing to The Wiggles last month. It was so much fun, and she loved it! Love sharing special moments like this with her

I've chosen a 12x12 background cut file (listed below) from The Cut Shoppe and backed it with pattern papers from the Craft Market Collection by Crate Paper and pieces of Bitty Bags. The whole page was then mounted to a pattern paper by Heidi Swapp

Here's some close ups..
I altered the wood veneer from Corbett creations with some silver distress stain and light sprinkling of silver glitter paste. I've layered this over a doily and added a Journal It arrow to complete the title. Cluster above contains a mix of my favourite paper flowers and a heart button (reverse side of a polka dot heart)

I added in a little typed journalling using my very dried up & much needed to be replaced trusty typewriter

To the right of the photo I've created another cluster from a resin bird, flair button, sequin bow and more paper flowers and a wood button.

The last cluster I created was a mini one, top right of the photo. I also tucked a Journal it tab with the date in above the photo, and layered some hand dyed muslin under the entire stack.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, be sure to check back tomorrow for my second D-lish share for the month

Until then, Happy Scrapping

Crazy Hair | Scrap the Girls

Hello Scrappy Friends!!
The first of the month = a new challenge for Scrap the Girls, and this one was definitely challenging!
We have a brilliantly Blue board to share today

Before I share what I came up with, I would like to apologise for the photo quality in this post. Not the best weather and lighting here recently so they are overly edited

Here's what I came up with..

I've mixed a few papers from my favourite collections by Cocoa Vanilla Studio and Amy Tangerine, plus a few scraps from my scraps box to make the layers beneath the photo. Then added pieces of a cut file from The Cut Shoppe, and loads of embellishments from D-lish Scraps.

Here's some close ups

Mini cluster made of paper flowers, heart cut outs, arrow die cut

I've tucked a circle journal it from D-lish Scraps within the paper layers and labelled with the date

I separated the individual heart shape pieces from the main cut file and scattered them diagonally across the page

I also may have gone a little crazy with this cluster.. Full of D-lish goodness, I just couldn't stop lol

Finished off with some glittery thickers from American Crafts above a cluster of flowers, heart cut file and circle journal it.

Although it was a challenge to use so much blue, I really enjoyed it.
I hope you get the chance to play along and share your creations with us over on the Scrap the Girls blog. Be sure to link up to enter the prize draw!

Until next time
Happy Scrappin!
