Current Collecting Obsession

Hello everyone
back today to share the last of 6 layouts made with the March Playful Scrapbook kit

This was a bit of a 'slap together' layout with the remaining scraps I had left from the other 5, but I think it turned out well :)
I didnt have much left in the pile after this was complete, a few die cuts and wood dots from Pinkfresh Studios and most of the washi strips. I tried my best to use the thickers within this title, but I had run out of certain letters which meant I couldn't make any of the words that fit right with the photo Im documenting.

I layered up some die cuts with one of those awesome giant paper clips, I have a few more left that I added straight to my clips stash for future use :)

Another mini cluster made from a die cut, washi tape and paper barcode strip

and lastly a mixed alpha title using some new and older alpha stickers from stash

Thanks for stopping by

Scrapping with the 'Stars'

Hello again Fellow crafters
Happy Weekend!! I hope you are enjoying it with some crafty time!
Today I have another 2 very special layouts to share with you using this months Scrappy Canary Playful Scrapbook kit

Last month I was super excited to catch up with 2 Scrapbooking 'Stars' Amy Tan & Heidi Swapp.
I thought it would be fun to document something different than the usual Leila photos
I will let the photos do the talking as theres a few of them.

First up is "Hello Amy"

I cut out some of the phrase's that worked best with this layout from one of Amy's papers within the kit

Mini banner made from the washi tape strips

And next "Hangin' with Heidi & Raquel"
I really wanted to use this paper in its entirety rather than chopping it up

I do love a mixed alpha title! This one made using the thickers from the kit, some older Heidi Swapp color shine alphas, October afternoon Mini Market stickers and a & from the Pinkfresh Studio die cut pack.

Yet another Ouchie

Hello everyone
Sharing my next layout using this months Scrappy Canary Playful Scrapbook kit
Please excuse the poor photos lately, I've been having some issues with all my apple technology :(

Ive tried to keep this layout as simple as I could with the papers I chose. The hearts strip came from the bottom of one of the papers. I really like the sheets that come with that, as its an extra bit of fun that can be used rather than discarded with the scraps

I've used some gold glitter POW paper from American Crafts to mat my photo to. The 'THIS HAPPENED' is the bottom of an Amy Tangerine frame from the kit which Ive tucked underneath

I made a mini banner flag with the massive paper clip in the kit, so cool! The cute little asterisk star is from the thickers set in the kit.

Lastly more of those yummy thickers make up the title and a few random gold splatters

Your Face

Hello Crafters
Happy Weekend!!
Today Im sharing layout 2 using this months Scrappy Canary Playful Scrapbook kit

I really wanted to use the grey box paper as a full background for a layout, but I wanted to get more use out of it than just 1 layout, so I came up with this

Under the photo I've layered 2 complimentary papers and yet another doily... I guess its not a layout made by me without one ;) plus a few die cut pieces from the Pinkfresh Studio pack

lastly I finished the layout off with another mixed text title using thickers and my handwriting, plus a few random Color shine splatters.

Hangin' Out

Hello fellow crafters!!
Today I'm sharing the first of 6 layouts I created with this months Scrappy Canary Playful Scrapbook kit

While browsing Pinterest late one night I came across this sketch I wanted to try HERE
Canary Sketches will be back one day soon, we're just having a break this month

I had fun making it work with the different patterns and colours within the kit.
I layered up a mixture of papers (front and back sides) with a couple of frames from the kit, some die cuts from the Pinkfresh studio pack, my signature doily and random ink splatters.

These alpha thickers are pretty cool, and work well within a mixed text title

The super cute little house was the perfect addition to this layout

'Happy' slipped under the other side of the photo and the barcode strip from one of the papers.

Thanks for stopping by, I have more to share in the coming days

#herringstokeshousebuild ... D-lish Scraps Pocket Life share

Hello everyone
My last share for D-lish Scraps this month is quite exciting for my little family!
If you follow me on Instagram HERE you will have seen that finally, after months (actually years) of planning, saving and decisions there is a house being built!! WOO HOO
I thought what better way to document its progress than with a 6x8 Project Life album, some pretty papers and a sprinkling of D-lish goodness.

To give the album a 'label' Ive wrapped some string around the spine from my stash, then used a shipping label'Note' journal spot, some skipping5 puffy stickers and a D-lish Flair.

Ive tried to contain myself and not over embellish this album, as I would like to be able to close it shut once its complete. For the title page, I went for the Pinkfresh wood veneers, some more string and a metal birdhouse charm

The cards Im using throughout the album are from the Project Life Home theme kit and Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic core kit.
Flipping to the next page, documenting the first stage or choosing a house and our clear block.

Here I've used some arrows washi tapeFreckled fawn short arrow from the rainbow mix, skipping5 puffy stickers,
a pastel heart round journalling spot, and some cut apart Wordfetti and more string
Onto the next page that Im sharing today, all about site start!! WOO HOO

Ive used another Note' journal spot with a longer Freckled Fawn arrow clip and some October Afternoon Mini Market alpha stickers

a Date strip journal it, Freckled Fawn banner sentiment clip, and a tab journal it

and lastly a few more pieces from the cut apart Wordfetti

Thanks for stopping by
I hope to share the build and album progress with you all over the next few months

Happy Scrapping

Hello Ouchie... D-lish Scraps Layout

Hello again fellow Crafters!

Today Im sharing my second layout for D-lish Scraps. Its made using the sketch from the February Cybercrop.
The last 2 months have been super busy that Ive not been able to participate, but Ive saved my favourite challenges to use when creativity strikes!
I also challenged myself to stick to 1 main colour, and a touch of sparkle.

Ive flipped the sketch and mirrored it and ended up with this layout..

Upon seeing the split doilies on either side, I went straight for my stash and grabbed these pink spotted ones. They were the right tone of pink to work with my photo selection and other random D-lish goodies I used.

Those Little Birdie Canvas butterflies are perfect for colouring to suit your layout, however I left them plain for this layout. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. (alphas are an older Pink Paislee pack)

Rather than a piece of vellum as a photo mat, Ive chosen to use a vellum bag from my stash. I had intentions of adding in a shipping tag or 2 to use for journalling, but changed my mind as you can see below.

Ive added journalling straight onto the doily using a slick writer, then sewed around the edges to finish the page off

Products used from the D-lish Store:
Paper Doilies - Pink Polka Dot
Little Birdie Mix Media - Canvas Beaded butterflies
Freckled Fawn - Short Arrow paper clips - Rainbow
Journal It's - Monochrome Journal Packs - Blush

Thanks for stopping by,

Snug as a bug.. D-lish Scraps layout

Hello everyone!!
I am very honoured to have been chosen as one of the very lucky creators to be part of the newest D-lish Scraps Design Team. Most of you would know I was the Inspiration Team Co-ordinator. However from the start of April I jumped ship!!

For my very first layout Im sharing something I created for this months Inspiration Board. I made this prior to being accepted on the Design Team, and found it a real challenge to use colours I don't normally gravitate towards.
Absolutely stunning board to be inspired by

Ive taken inspiration from the sketch, the colour palette and the sparkly pops of gold

Items used from my personal stash are strips of paper from the Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection, white cardstock, vellum, a favourite doily, Heidi Swapp alphas & splatters of Color shine.
All other embellishments, listed at the bottom of the post can be found within the D-lish shop, unless sold out due to my massive shopping spree a few weeks back lol

I love clusters of mixed embellishments together, and like most scrappers, always an odd number

I love the versatility of the bags within store too, perfect to use as a photo mat if you can't find the right pattern papers to match. The string of sequins was the perfect colour choice to blend in with this layout. Its actually white, but reflects the mint and pink/purple just nicely.

I did go a little crazy and purchased a few packs of the rainbow Freckled Fawn arrows (in both sizes)
They may feature in a few projects in the next few months, as they're perfect for holding things together when you run out of glue tape ;)

Products used from the D-lish shop:
Flair Buttons - Hello World, Defining Words white
Freckled Fawn - Coloured Arrow clips, Wood Chips Hearts
Dyed Wooden Buttons - Hearts, Butterfly
Felt Doilies - Frames Small - Blue
Tags - Little Birdie Mix Media Traditional Tags with Jute twine , Kraft Mixed shipping tags
Bitty Bags - Gold Polka Dot
5x7 Bags - Gold Chevron
Sequins - White
Journal its - Cardfetti Sweet sentiments, Note Strips Rainbow

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed my first share for the D-lish Scraps Design Team

Happy Scrapping
