Wonderful Indeed

Hey there fellow crafters

This is my last layout share using the Scrappy Canary April Mayfair Scrapbook kit

As you can see I went a little crazy after the last layout. I needed to find a place for all those left over letters after using the Negative piece. They were flicking everywhere! And finally I found a use for those super cute flamingos!

I layered up cards from the cut apart paper with papers and the Bella Blvd transparency for the photo stack. Embellished with a strip from the Espresso paper, puffy stickers, chipboard stickers, an altered thicker heart and a star paper clip

I covered the alpha stickers with some vellum to tone down the colours slightly, then added thicker words for the title. I've altered them with gesso as the black was too dark for the layout.

Lastly I've filled up some black space with a cork star and puffy stickers, and stapled the vellum down in random places to finish it off

Pa's Little Shadow

Hey Everyone

Today Im back with another layout using the April Mayfair Scrapbook kit from Scrappy Canary

Leila absolutely adores her Pa, and becomes his little shadow when he is home. He works away most weeks, so we only see him on weekends.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. This kit is certainly growing on me!

Chipboard flags from Echo Park , combined with a Studio Calico puffy heart and banner strip from the Espresso paper make up the top cluster

I've combined letters from the Alpha stickers sheet, some older October Afternoon stickers from my stash and my handwriting to make up the layout title. And squeezed in yet another signature doily from my stash

Another strip from the Espresso paper and some puffy hearts make up a smaller cluster to the side of the photo stack

And lastly a card from the alpha stickers sheet and a chipboard heart to finish it off

Cute little Sleeping Beauty

Hey friends!
Today Im popping in to share a layout made from a past A Piece of Cake Designs kit

Cards and papers layered up under the photo, were all remnants from the February kit. I think Ive successfully killed the kit after making this

A close up of the cluster made of pieces from the Craft Market ephemera pack

A fun mixed alpha title made of thickers from the kit, old school October Afternoon stickers and a card from the cut apart paper in the kit.

Lastly more ephemera pieces with a mini phrase sticker from stash to finish it off

Build it up, Build it up, Build it High

Hey Everyone
Today Im sharing my first of 4 layouts using the current Scrappy Canary Scrapbook Kit

I loved the challenge that this kit gave me. Its full of bright colours that aren't pink! lol It was a nice change to use something less girly, which is usually what I gravitate to.

My first layout documents one of the many stages of building our very first house. Its so exciting!!!

I even managed to squeeze in one of my signature doilies..
I love how this layout has turned out, super simple with a fun multi text title.

I mixed in some older October Afternoon and Doodlebug Design alphas from my stash with the multi coloured letters from the kit. So much fun!

The photo doesn't show it well, or at all lol, but Ive given the cork stars a hint of sparkle using my favourite clear Wink of Stella glitter brush, then a few random shatters of gold Color shine

and lastly Ive cut a banner strip from the Shimelle 'Espresso' paper layered on top of the photo stack, with a few puffy stickers from the Studio Calico pack.

Thanks for stopping by today

Bath Time Bliss

Hello everyone
Im back with my last share for D-lish Scraps this month.

Todays layout was a bit of an experiment with gelatos and baby wipes..
I went a little crazy swirling the different colours around the page, then smudged them all up with a baby wipe. Once it was dry I went over a few random curves with some glossy accents and holographic glitter (current obsession)

Once the background was dry I layered some Hand Dyed Muslin under the photo, that pink is such a pretty colour. Co-ordinating Embellishments used in this cluster are a dyed wooden star buttonFreckled Fawn LOVE clip, white sequin bow, mini resin butterfly and a Forget me not flower

I created my title with a Journal it from the Light Blue Monochrome pack, theres also a tab above the photo from the same pack. The alphas are older Heidi Swapp and Pink Paislee sets that Ive been using quite a bit lately. For the mini cluster above Ive used 2 more Forget me Not flowers and a flair from the Click Click set. Lastly the mini cluster next to the word BLISS is made up of a resin Forget me notCabbage flower and a wooden blossom button.

Thats all from me this month. I hope you have enjoyed and been inspired by what Ive created.
I look forward to seeing what the rest of the team shares this month.

Make a Wish...

Hello fellow Crafters
Im back today with another D-Lish Scraps layout share.

This layout works well for a current D-lish Scraps Cyber crop Challenge .
To make a layout using a handmade or altered embellishment.
More details can be found within The Scrap Suite on Facebook

Ive tried out a fun technique for the background that involves using plastic packaging (like the mini bags that D-lish goodness are packed in) and watercolours.
The idea is to paint the plastic with watercolour then press it randomly onto the paper
(Until now I didn't realise that this could have been a techniques post - apologies)

Once the watercolours were dry, I grabbed my most favourite pot of mixed media fun - Whipped Spackle and a Scrap Fx stencil. The one I used is currently sold out, but there are plenty of others to choose from.

I also added some clear gesso spots mixed with holographic glitter, then a few random splatters of Gold color shine.

To make the Title I've used a Journal it from the Light Blue Monochrome Pack, some older Heidi Swapp alphas and my own hand writing. Embellishments used above are a Bitty Bloom, a resin Forget Me Not and a wooden Butterfly

I've used 2 doilies from the shop on the page, a Pink Polka Dot doily under the photo, and a smaller doily that Ive made into a pinwheel with a D-lish Flair. An addition of the 'details' tab from the Light Blue Journal Its Monochrome pack and a polka dot wooden button (no longer in stock) to finish the cluster off.

Lastly another tab from the Light Blue Journal Its Monochrome pack, a mini wooden peg to hold it all together and a cute mini bow

I really enjoyed creating this page. The background technique was so much fun! I can't wait to try it again.

Thanks for stopping by, more to share tomorrow.

Our House

Hello fellow Crafters :)
Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!
Today Im sharing a layout over on the D-lish Scraps blog.
Its inspired by the current Inspiration Board

I've used the sketch as a rough start, and worked in embellishments and papers that co-ordinate with the colour scheme. I also layered in a whole heap of Journal Its which makes this layout work well for one of the current Challenges within the Scrap Suite

Underneath the photo I've layered up a doily from my stash and some Hand dyed muslin. Muslin is easy to work with, gives a nice texture to the page and is quite soft. Ive used a Scrap FX chipboard corner around the left and top corner of the photo. Tucked under the top left corner is some mixed Journal its, a flair and a resin butterfly. Embellishments to the right of the title are a Dyed wooden Heart buttonSkipping5 'Puffy Thing', and a resin forget me not flower

I went a little crazy with this cluster. Making use of a few different Journal Its packs, a D-lish FlairFreckled Fawn arrow clipPinkfresh Studio Geotag veneer, a Birdhouse metal charm and random strands of the muslin used under the photo.

Lastly I added some journalling on a piece of vellum and a few splatters of Color Shine to finish the layout off.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check back tomorrow for another share
