Goodbye D-lish

Hello Scrappy Friends, I'm back here today with my newest creation for D-lish Scraps. Now you may already be able to guess where this post it going after reading the title...

After 5 wonderful years here on multiple different teams, I've decided it's time to say farewell. Sadly this will be the last time you will see me on the D-lish blog, but I will still be a semi regular poster within the Scrap Suite group. I'm so very thank for the time I've spent here and will miss posting regularly here to inspire you all.  Who would have thought roughly 5 years ago when Amanda offered me my very first DT gig as part of the Autumn Creative team, that I would still be here HA It's been so much fun!

For this post today, I thought I would create something special with a few of my favourite and most used D-lish products, and include a walk down memory lane by scrapping all my DT badges (which now feels a little weird after seeing multiple versions of my face lol)

I started this wonderful layout using pieces of a cut file I had left on my desk from previous layouts and backed all the stars using pretty papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I then arranged the photos top and bottom of the layout, and tucked in a few pretty embellishments using my favourite and well used items from the D-lish Store. Lastly I created a title using my much loved puffy alpha stickers and some typed journalling.

Here's a few close ups...

Above the photos at the top of the layout I've added a circle journal itwordfettiflair buttonpunchinellaLittle Birdie flowers, pastel petal and some star shaped creative cuts.

Tucked into the photos at the bottom of the layout I've repeated similar colours and items as the top cluster using another circle journal itombre wordfetti, pastel petal (my most used and definitely most favourite flower of all time) punchinellacreative cuts and little birdie flowers.

Once everything was complete I added my usual gold splatters and called it done.

Well thats all from me, but before I go I'd like to say a big Thank you to all the D-lish followers for all your love and kind words during my time here. It's all very much appreciated. I will try my best to continue sharing things made with D-lish products within the Scrap Suite, or via Instagram using the #dlishscraps tag.

Next I'd like to send another big Thank you to all my fellow DT members, both past and present, for all your wonderful words of encouragement and regular dose of inspiration throughout my time here. We've all been through ups and downs on this creative journey, and the support and understanding we've all had for each other has been perfect.

Lastly a MASSIVE thank you to Amanda aka Boss Lady, for taking a chance on a fresh newbie all those years ago, for your ongoing support and continuing to cheer me on from behind the screen. Words cannot really express how thankful I really am for my time here, it's been nothing short of amazing!

Until I see you all again, Happy Scrapping!

Things that you love, love, love | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello! It's Michelle here today with a closer look at the layout I created and shared for our recent Cyber crop. Cyber crops are held mid month, every month, within our Facebook group The Scrap Suite and are a great source of challenging inspiration. This month I've set a challenge to Scraplift me! Whether it be part or all of my layout, I can't wait to see what you all create

To find inspiration for this challenge, I looked back on some past layouts I've created and ended up scrap lifting myself! HA The layout chosen was actually from an idea that was shared in a previous Cyber crop. Lets take a closer look...

The main focus of this layout was to recreate and document a new list of things that Leila loves. From her obsession with all things Super Mario to eating all day every day, its listed here to look back on for years to come.

The background started with multiple square pieces of pattern paper, a couple of circular creative cuts from the D-lish Store and a tonne of staples lol I then backed the list and photo with complimenting papers and adhered them to the middle of the layout with some foam tape.

Both layouts have turned out very similar, with a few slight differences. Heres a look back at the layout that I've scrap lifted. You can find the original post HERE

This precious girl sure does love to chill out with her "friends", drinking hot chocolate and listening to music on the iPad.

Once I had the main focal points of the layout adhered to the page I worked on the clusters. I grouped together items from the D-lish store along with some fussy cut flowers for the first cluster, and added a sprinkling of gold color shine to finish it off.

Items shown in this cluster are a Printed tagCreative cutspaper flowersJournal It'sOmbre wordfettiD-lish Flair, Faceted & Glitter enamel dots

Over on the top right you can see I've tucked in a lace doily for a little extra detail, then embellished the edges with another flair buttonpaper flowerscreative cut, some more enamel dots and a fussy cut flower.

Lastly in this massive cluster I've added more Journal It's, a flair buttonombre wordfetti (seems to be a favourite of mine) more paper flowersenamel dotscreative cuts, a fussy cut flower and a wordfetti piece that is stuck to the bottom of the photo.

Well I hope you've enjoyed seeing some close ups of this layout. It was quite fun to recreate an older style layout. I hope its inspired you to play along with my Scraplift me challenge too!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Sweet Snapshots | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello! It's time for a new layout to share, and todays is a fun one! This one is for D-lish Scraps and follows along with the current Inspiration Board. The colour blue and star shapes are definitely up there with my most favourites for creating, so I really had fun creating this.

I went with a smaller layout size like my last creation and mirrored the sketch image on the board to create a diagonal design in the opposite direction to the one shown below.

Rather than a couple of massive stars, I went a little crazy with some left over pieces of cut file from a while back as sadly I have run out of the fun Creative Cut star shapes that you can find HERE in store

SO many layers within this photo stack. Including a NOTE Journal It ticket tucked in with the words I'd captioned this photo with on Instagram.

Such sweet moment captured and recorded. This girl was so sweet for her mumma while I was recovering back in December.

At the top of the layout I created a mini cluster of sorts with a circle Journal It, a piece of Ombre wordfetti and a glitter enamel star (these were in a pack that are no longer available, but there are plenty more awesome glitter dots available HERE)

I created a similar cluster at the bottom of the layout using items from the top and a Flair button from THIS set of mixed Script words

Lastly a super quick title using the 'Sweet' Creative Cut word from the Script Words pack and a piece of Ombre wordfetti. I also splattered some black ink around the page and then called it done!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope this has inspired you in some way. Be sure to stop by the Scrap Suite to share with us everything that you create with D-lish Scraps goodies!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Hello Kmart Fun | D-lish Scraps

Hello Scrappy Friends! I'm back again today with my final layout share for this month, this one is for D-lish Scraps. I've chosen to scrap a smaller size layout and followed along with the sketch from the current Cyber Crop that was designed by Owner/designer Amanda.

I've used some papers from a limited edition range by Cocoa Vanilla Studio that complimented the photo of Leila that I chose to scrap. A fun moment in Kmart when little Miss was trying on all the funny massive animal heads.

I created mini clusters of my favourite D-lish goodies including Little Birdie flowers, a D-lish flairOmbre wordfetti and some faceted enamel dots.

To create the title I used some words from the Script Words Creative cuts set and some alpha stickers that were in store months ago.

To the right of the photo I created another cluster using pieces from the other cluster plus a shiny puffy gold heart from a past Just Add Paper kit. I also tucked in part of an older journal it card to balance out the purple colour that was in the other cluster.

All this came together pretty quickly thanks to the fun sketch that I followed along with. Heres a closer look at it, and a link to where you can find all the current Cyber crop challenges..

Well thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to share your challenge layouts with us in the Scrap Suite so we can see what you've created!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Love you THIS much | D-lish Scraps

Hello D-lish friends & fans! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps that was super quick to create. Love when you get an idea that comes together so well. For this layout I've scrapped some mini photos of my 2 loves on an 8.5x11inch layout

I chose the smaller size layout as lately I've been struggling with ideas on how to fill the page with different ideas and products, and I tend to keep doing the same things over and over again. So with this smaller size layout, I felt I had achieved something great. I chose a couple of the Scribble circle with stars Creative Cuts and popped them off the background in 3 places using some foam tape. In each of the 2 larger circular pieces Ive added the photos, and in the largest circle I also added an extra Creative cut as the title for the layout. This piece was within the December advent calendar.

In the top left piece I've added a couple of labels from a past Just Add paper kit, a pick n place bow, faceted enamel dotsLittle Birdie flower and a star shape creative cut to complete the cluster.

To balance out the clusters on the page I created this tiny one with some more of the Little Birdie flowers an enamel dot and creative cut pieces.

These 2 are seriously so much fun (most of the time HAHA)

Lastly I added a couple of bits from past Just Add Paper kits to form the base of this cluster, then added another star Creative CutLittle Birdie flower, enamel dots and some ink splatters to finish it all off.

I've not added any journalling as I felt the page was just right as is, but if in future I felt like adding any I would add it to the back of the layout.

Well thats all from me today, short and sweet for this post, thanks for stopping by to check it out!
Until next time, Happy Scrapping.

Love at first Sip | D-lish Scraps

Hello Scrappy friends! I'm back here today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps based on this months Inspiration Board - Love like this. Such a fun colour combo that I wouldn’t normally create with, but I think it turned out ok. I also used the sketch from the board as the starting point for my layout.

For this layout I thought I would document my love of Coffee... ALL the coffee! I had the perfect photo that was taken a few days ago of a coffee cup with a fun design, plus it also included my pretty pink water bottle that worked well with the colours of the board.

To begin the layout I chose papers from a super duper old collection from We R Memory Keepers that replicated the colours within the board quite well. I kept the background quite plain with the black and white triangles pattern paper and some strips of yellow. Following along with the sketch by using a large heart shape in the form of a Creative Cut backed with vellum and popped off the page with foam tape for dimension

Above this I created my photo stack using another pattern paper from the collection, some ombre wordfetti and some circles punched from more complimenting papers.

In the top of the photo I tucked in another piece of ombre wordfetti and to the left of the photo I created a cluster of goodies from the store. I've used a flair from the December advent calendar kit (this is sold out but you can find plenty of similar items including FLAIR within the Store) I also added a few different enamel dots and shapes plus a couple of my favourite flowers

Under the photo I also tucked in one of my favourite lace doilies from the store. These are so pretty and intricate, come in a few different sizes and are perfect for layering within photo stacks.

Lastly I created a mini cluster at the bottom right of the layout using the 'Love' veneer word from the Advent calendar, some more of the flowers and enamels used in the other cluster with the addition of the pretty pink bow.

Love love LOVE how this has turned out, almost as much as I love my morning coffee. I hope you like it just as much!

Thats all for today, thanks for stopping by.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Creative Cards | D-lish Scraps

Hello Scrappy Friends! I'm back with a new creative share for D-lish Scraps, the first in over a month while I've been off on 'Sick leave'. It's taken me a while to get back in to the swing of creating, so I thought what better way to ease into it than making some cards. These are quite easy to replicate with any pieces that you may have within you own personal D-lish stashes 😍 All cards are perfect for gifting along to a friend just to say Hello, something I need to do more often to remind those I cherish that they are loved.

The first 2 cards are super simple, gathering Creative cuts and faceted enamel dots from the D-lish Scraps store along with a lace butterfly, some ombre wordfetti and left over pieces of pattern paper from the Bohemian Dream collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

So quick to create, and such a sweet card to pass along to a friend to remind them to smile  😀

This card was also quick to create by gluing and stapling the pieces together with slight hints of dimension.

The next 2 cards were a little more fiddly, made using bits and pieces from last months Papercrafters Advent Calendar . Such a fun box of goodies that was for this crafter to open, although I only got to open half the month before being admitted to hospital with gallbladder issues. That meant I had to rip the remainder open all at once which was both a happy and sad experience as I knew how much effort went into packing all those bags and to not be able to enjoy opening them as they were intended was a bummer.

For the larger card I've started with a pattern paper from the new More than Words collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I felt the colours of the floral pattern really complimented the colours of embellishments within the Advent Calendar goodies. I made one massive cluster using the large pink and green flowers, the pretty pink leaves, flair button, yellow tassel, journal it and a carnation from my stash. I cut apart the XOXO cut file piece and secured these in separate places and finished it off with some enamel dots.

Lastly this pretty card, such a happy little thing! I started with some pink cardstock layered with a 4 inch doily from my stash. I pulled the entire centre out of the yellow flower and rearranged it to sit flatter with a flair button in the centre. I tucked in a couple of the pink leaves and some resin flowers then finished it off with some sequins.

Well thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

All kinds of CRAZY | D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone, I'm back here today with a closer look at my Inspiration Board layout for D-lish Scraps. This was definitely a challenge and one that I had to re-do multiple times as it just didn't look quite right. The board we've shared this month was super inspiring and I just couldn't work out the right mix of elements until I came up with this creation...

This child of mine is a total crack up! Loves to dress up in such wonderful outfits, more recently being her mermaid costume with a sparkly wig and McHappy Day socks HAHA The photo itself was the perfect combination of colours to compliment the colour palette within the board, but proved to be a real tricky one to create around.

Heres another look at the board

I took my main inspiration from the sketch which I've rotated to the left, the bunches of flowers and the circular elements in the middle right hand side. I did try to attempt loads of circles with this layout rather than the strips of pattern papers, but man oh man was it a bad combination HAHA

Heres some close ups

Loving these Canvas pick n place bows, they've got a nice sturdy texture to them with the slightest hint of shimmery sparkle to them, perfect for layering into clusters. I've punched circles from an Amy Tangerine collection to use around the layout, and added machine stitching for added texture. Also in this cluster is a Little Birdie beaded micro petal flower and resin glitter dot

Under the photo I've added some white cardstock and ran some of the thin washi tape from the Hello Sugar JAP kit around the edges. I've layered these with a doily and tucked in pieces of Journal its that I've been hoarding for so long, and some Ombre wordfetti.

That face HAHA
To the right of the photo I've added another punched circle, a flair button and ombre wordfetti piece.

In the main cluster I've grouped a mix of new and older flowers from the D-lish store plus more Little birdie flowers, some coloured leaves, a floral creative cutombre wordfetti piece and another resin glitter dot.

Heres a different angle to see the dimension all these pretty bits give to the layout.

I've continued the circle elements over on the right hand side and included another resin glitter dot, Little birdie flowerombre wordfetti and an enamel heart.

And lastly a mixed element title using thickers and stickers from my stash to finish it all off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, be sure to share your own creations with us over on the link up tool on the main D-lish blog, or within the Scrap Suite Facebook group. We love to see them!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping
