Things that you love, love, love | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello! It's Michelle here today with a closer look at the layout I created and shared for our recent Cyber crop. Cyber crops are held mid month, every month, within our Facebook group The Scrap Suite and are a great source of challenging inspiration. This month I've set a challenge to Scraplift me! Whether it be part or all of my layout, I can't wait to see what you all create

To find inspiration for this challenge, I looked back on some past layouts I've created and ended up scrap lifting myself! HA The layout chosen was actually from an idea that was shared in a previous Cyber crop. Lets take a closer look...

The main focus of this layout was to recreate and document a new list of things that Leila loves. From her obsession with all things Super Mario to eating all day every day, its listed here to look back on for years to come.

The background started with multiple square pieces of pattern paper, a couple of circular creative cuts from the D-lish Store and a tonne of staples lol I then backed the list and photo with complimenting papers and adhered them to the middle of the layout with some foam tape.

Both layouts have turned out very similar, with a few slight differences. Heres a look back at the layout that I've scrap lifted. You can find the original post HERE

This precious girl sure does love to chill out with her "friends", drinking hot chocolate and listening to music on the iPad.

Once I had the main focal points of the layout adhered to the page I worked on the clusters. I grouped together items from the D-lish store along with some fussy cut flowers for the first cluster, and added a sprinkling of gold color shine to finish it off.

Items shown in this cluster are a Printed tagCreative cutspaper flowersJournal It'sOmbre wordfettiD-lish Flair, Faceted & Glitter enamel dots

Over on the top right you can see I've tucked in a lace doily for a little extra detail, then embellished the edges with another flair buttonpaper flowerscreative cut, some more enamel dots and a fussy cut flower.

Lastly in this massive cluster I've added more Journal It's, a flair buttonombre wordfetti (seems to be a favourite of mine) more paper flowersenamel dotscreative cuts, a fussy cut flower and a wordfetti piece that is stuck to the bottom of the photo.

Well I hope you've enjoyed seeing some close ups of this layout. It was quite fun to recreate an older style layout. I hope its inspired you to play along with my Scraplift me challenge too!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Love you THIS much | D-lish Scraps

Hello D-lish friends & fans! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps that was super quick to create. Love when you get an idea that comes together so well. For this layout I've scrapped some mini photos of my 2 loves on an 8.5x11inch layout

I chose the smaller size layout as lately I've been struggling with ideas on how to fill the page with different ideas and products, and I tend to keep doing the same things over and over again. So with this smaller size layout, I felt I had achieved something great. I chose a couple of the Scribble circle with stars Creative Cuts and popped them off the background in 3 places using some foam tape. In each of the 2 larger circular pieces Ive added the photos, and in the largest circle I also added an extra Creative cut as the title for the layout. This piece was within the December advent calendar.

In the top left piece I've added a couple of labels from a past Just Add paper kit, a pick n place bow, faceted enamel dotsLittle Birdie flower and a star shape creative cut to complete the cluster.

To balance out the clusters on the page I created this tiny one with some more of the Little Birdie flowers an enamel dot and creative cut pieces.

These 2 are seriously so much fun (most of the time HAHA)

Lastly I added a couple of bits from past Just Add Paper kits to form the base of this cluster, then added another star Creative CutLittle Birdie flower, enamel dots and some ink splatters to finish it all off.

I've not added any journalling as I felt the page was just right as is, but if in future I felt like adding any I would add it to the back of the layout.

Well thats all from me today, short and sweet for this post, thanks for stopping by to check it out!
Until next time, Happy Scrapping.

Love at first Sip | D-lish Scraps

Hello Scrappy friends! I'm back here today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps based on this months Inspiration Board - Love like this. Such a fun colour combo that I wouldn’t normally create with, but I think it turned out ok. I also used the sketch from the board as the starting point for my layout.

For this layout I thought I would document my love of Coffee... ALL the coffee! I had the perfect photo that was taken a few days ago of a coffee cup with a fun design, plus it also included my pretty pink water bottle that worked well with the colours of the board.

To begin the layout I chose papers from a super duper old collection from We R Memory Keepers that replicated the colours within the board quite well. I kept the background quite plain with the black and white triangles pattern paper and some strips of yellow. Following along with the sketch by using a large heart shape in the form of a Creative Cut backed with vellum and popped off the page with foam tape for dimension

Above this I created my photo stack using another pattern paper from the collection, some ombre wordfetti and some circles punched from more complimenting papers.

In the top of the photo I tucked in another piece of ombre wordfetti and to the left of the photo I created a cluster of goodies from the store. I've used a flair from the December advent calendar kit (this is sold out but you can find plenty of similar items including FLAIR within the Store) I also added a few different enamel dots and shapes plus a couple of my favourite flowers

Under the photo I also tucked in one of my favourite lace doilies from the store. These are so pretty and intricate, come in a few different sizes and are perfect for layering within photo stacks.

Lastly I created a mini cluster at the bottom right of the layout using the 'Love' veneer word from the Advent calendar, some more of the flowers and enamels used in the other cluster with the addition of the pretty pink bow.

Love love LOVE how this has turned out, almost as much as I love my morning coffee. I hope you like it just as much!

Thats all for today, thanks for stopping by.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Favourite Things | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello! I'm back today with my second layout share for D-lish Scraps this month. You may have seen this already if you're a member of the Scrap Suite on Facebook, as it was shared last night as part of the newest Cyber Crop challenge for all our D-lish Scraps friends.

My challenge for you all is to create a project using all of the items listed below

An idea for this layout came about after browsing through older projects I've created, I find it helps when I'm lacking inspiration. There were a few I had created for D-lish throughout my time here on the team that I wanted to replicate in some way you can find them HEREHERE and HERE. They're a mixture of grids, list making, clusters and some form of diagonal theme are definitely a few of my favourite ways to document this child of mine.

Heres a closer look at how it all came together including loads of D-lish goodness

I've used a full 12x12 piece of pattern paper by Cocoa Vanilla Studio for my background, something I very rarely do, then arranged the photos in a rough grid form around the middle of the page. I tucked in some older square Journal it cards under neath 2 of the photos using colours that complimented them.

Over on the top right photo I've created one of the 2 clusters featuring a colour journal itflair button, 2 types of flowers, faceted enamel dots and a flower creative cut. I also added a piece of ombre wordfetti into the layers of journal its under the photo

Down on the bottom left I've replicated the same elements as the other cluster but swapped the circle journal it for a Jumbo Note ticket and added a lace doily in the 5 inch size. The "HELLO MY NAME IS" journal it tucked into the layers can be found in the Monochrome journal packs. I've also tucked in a piece of a Pastel 'Sweet talker' to balance out the colours

Lastly I added a title using some of the fun Puffy alphabet stickers, some typed words and a date stamp. Around the page I've added my 'journalling' which is a random selection of all Leila's most favourite things.

Since documenting Leila's list of favourites earlier this year, things have changed just a little. She's gone from loving and obsessing over PJ Masks and Beanie Boos to loving everything Super Mario Bros. And I mean OBSESSED! Nearly every second thing, apart from food, she talks about is something to do with Mario or Luigi. Theres only 2 toys in her 'plush' collection and they seem to follow her everywhere. Anywhere from in the car to school to snuggling up in bed and out in the shed with Dad.

Well thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by!
Be sure to check out the Scrap Suite to see the other challenges set by NicoleeMalinda & Amy, and share with us any creations you make with D-lish goodies.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Cards & Tags | D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone, I'm back here today with a new creative share for D-lish Scraps. For this post I've created some cards and gift tags based on a current challenge from our October Cyber crop. The challenge I chose was set by D-lish owner Amanda, to create a project featuring a warm or cool colour palette. I ended up making something for each side of the colour wheel, lets take a look shall we?

The first two items I made were some cards. I don't have anyone in mind for these cards just yet, but I enjoyed the process of selecting pretty things to group together to create something to share.

Here's a reminder of the challenge and the colour wheel..

And now a closer look at each individual card..

For card number 1 I chose to create something using the cooler half of the colour wheel. I've grouped together a selection of Little Birdie flowers, a beautiful Swan rose, pastel petal (currently not in store) some creative cut pieces, silver punchinella, a canvas pick n place bow4 inch lace doilyjournal it ticket & a cardfetti piece.

For the second card I've used similar items to the first card, but with colours from the warmer side of the colour wheel. Here I've used the yellow punchinella, a 4 inch lace doily, more creative cuts, a sequin butterfly, a few Little Birdie flowerscardfetti piece, some pastel petals (my most favourite floral item from the D-lish store) and another large Swan rose.

Next I made a some quick tags to wrap around mini gift bags. I thought these would be perfect when giving someone a gift card or even a small note of thanks.  To create these tags I've used some printed tags from the Pastel Doilies set. These are so pretty on their own, but even sweeter with a few added bits to finish them off.

The tag on the left has a piece from the cardfetti set that reads "Best Wishes" and is attached to the tag with some punchinella, a tasselwooden button and pastel petal. The tag on the right also has a cardfetti piece, wooden button, pastel petal and a couple of mini Little Birdie flowers.

Lastly for these two cards I've embellished using the same items as the other 2 tags - tassel and punchinella on one, Little Birdie micro flowers on the other, wooden buttons and cardfetti pieces on both. These two tags would have to be my favourite out of the 4. Such sweet colours.

Well thats all from me today, I hope this has inspired you in some way.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Until next time, Happy Scrapping xx

Happy as Larry | D-lish Scraps

Hello Scrappy friends!! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps that I made over the weekend at an amazing retreat I attended. Was such a wonderful time, and I even got to meet a few fellow Team members in real life, plus plenty more Inspiring creatives! Didn't get too much creating done though as I spent a lot of time talking or pushing papers around lol and most layouts I needed to add more to once I got home after forgetting certain things when I was packing.

The layout I've chosen to share today was based on my sketch from the July Cyber crop challenge. I really liked the base design of the sketch and it was a perfect way to kickstart my scrapping inspiration over the weekend.

I scrapped a photo of Leila from a few weeks ago while we were trying to enjoy the school holidays. This poor mumma was struck down with a dreaded head cold/ flu virus that wiped me out the entire 2 weeks off, so Leila spent quite a few days rotating between books, creating in her art book, loads of Screen time and playing with toys. Her favourite pastime is definitely screen time .... mixing it up between Youtube toy reviews, ABC for kids app and her Mathletics school app. Fun times!

Heres another look back at the sketch, which I rotated clockwise for a vertical design. I can't help it, I'm addicted to flipping and rotating sketches!

I ended up spreading out the embellishments to create a diagonal design, and added in an extra cluster of goodness to balance it all out.

Here's a closer look at all the pretty bits n bobs...

I've used most of my favourite embellishments in these clusters, choosing colours that complimented the papers from the Life is Beautiful collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I turned the Bitty Bow clip on its side and slid it onto the photo, then created a cluster to the left using a Little Birdie flower, paper flowerflair buttonombre wordfetti and some of the stunning NEW faceted enamel dots

As always I've added a lace doily within the layers of papers under the photo. I love the soft delicate design they add to a layout. I chose to use a Black & White photo as there were so many colours within it that would clash with the colours I chose to scrap with. I've also tucked in some strips of pattern Journal It cards to the top of the photo (blue & yellow)

To the right of the photo I created a smaller cluster using a gold sequin bowwordfetti piece, more faceted enamel dotspaper and Little Birdie flowers.

Along the bottom of the layout I've grouped together some Journal It's (circle & hello my name is card, a strip cut from a yellow speech bubble card Journal It, Happy Day journal It ticket from a mixed pack I've hoarded for so long), more flowers the same as the other clusters, a butterfly Creative Cut and some more faceted enamel dots. Other pieces added into all the clusters are from the ephemera and sticker sets within the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Collection.

Lastly I created a large title using the "Happy" word creative cut (from the Script Words set), and some white Puffy Alphabet stickers. I added the stitching for some detail, but to also ensure they stuck for good. A few lines of typed text journalling and then some splatters of gold ink and the layout was complete.

Well thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope this has given you some form of inspiration, and please be sure to share yours with us in the Scrap Suite on Facebook.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

You Make My Heart Sing | Scrap The Girls

Hello Hello! Yesterday, if you're a follower of Scrap The Girls challenge blog, you would have seen the new challenge announced? This month is a fun sketch that I had some fun creating with, along with the Wild at Heart collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and some of the new Creative Cuts from D-lish Scraps.

Here's a look at the sketch, including the flipped around version that I based my layout on..

I originally had started placing things down in the original form of the sketch, then things took a turn and ended up like this..

I kept the main floral cluster partly embellishment free as there was just so much going on in the one spot, and I really like how its all layered together 😃 I backed pieces of the flowers cuts with scraps of pattern papers from the collection, and also used some larger scraps to build up the layers behind the photos.

My printer has been printing photo's in some pretty odd colours lately, but until we can afford to replace it, I'm running with its craziness lol

Here's a look at the dimension created with the floral cluster by using foam tape, lots of foam tape lol

I've used a sticker and chipboard piece to create the title, again going for something that didn't stand out too much or compete with the large cluster

I tucked in a couple of glitter dots for some added sparkle

and lastly created a little cluster with some die cute pieces in the ephemera pack.

That's all from me today! Be sure to stop by the Scrap the Girls blog to see all the other DT member creations!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping

Good Books | D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone! I'm back here today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps featuring some of the new Creative Cuts. The hearts I've chosen to use are so pretty and delicate looking, and a perfect finish to this simple layout.

This was a super quick layout to create using scraps of pattern papers from a previous layout and a little less dimension than I usually create with. The only things I've raised off the page are the Creative Cuts as I stuck the photos straight to the background paper rather than popping them up with foam like I would normally. I kept to a diagonal/grid design, and made sure to replicate similar clusters top and bottom to ensure the page looked balanced. In the top left and bottom right of the 'grid' I've allowed for space to add photos and the title, and added machine stitching along edges of the papers and through the puffy alphabet letters to ensure they all stay stuck!

I'm really happy with how it turned out. Here's a closer look..

Up in this corner I've layered in a couple of Journal It's (Tab and the Round & Round), some Forget me not flowers and a carnation. I've also added some twine to the heart, an enamel dot and a sequin from my stash.

The top of the left photo has a little ombre wordfetti piece along with some glitter enamel dots..

To replicate the top cluster I've used the same flowers along with another Round & Round Journal It, an ombre wordfetti strip and more twine to tie the 2 hearts together.

Lastly the title, made up of typed text and puffy alphabet stickers. Its a little play on the Dr Seuss rhyming which ties in with the photos, and is a perfect representation of Leila's current love of books!

Well thats all from me today, I hope this has given you a daily dose of Inspiration.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
