Hello Adorable | Scrap the Girls

Hey Everyone! Can you believe that it's FEBRUARY?
Today is the day Scrap The Girls releases a new challenge, this month is a sketch.. Oh and good news.. I'm staying on the team YAY!

Lets get to the fun stuff.. Here's a look at the sketch for the month, one that involves use of multiple photos, or something in place of them. What ever inspires you!

I've used the Cute Girl collection from Crate Paper for this layout, plus a few extras from past Hip Kits. Love the brightness of the background paper and the embellishments that compliment it all.

I'm not sure if you can still see the sketch behind this, but the main elements are there. The striped background, tags and circular elements in the top right, title lower left, journalling bottom right, a Cat element, plus 4 photos.

Here's some close ups..

Love creating mixed titles with various complimenting products. Big and bold!

Thats all from me today. Be sure to check out the Scrap the Girls blog to see all the other DT member creations.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Love So Sweet | D-lish Scraps

Hello Again fellow Scrappers!
I'm back again with another layout share for D-lish Scraps and another Selfie of Leila and I. Seems to be our thing right now.

I really LOVE how this turned out! It involved a little bit of experimenting with Silhouette Studio, including multiple cuts, loads of wasted paper, but I got there in the end..

I started by making a basic cut and fold file in Silhouette Studio. I only have the basic version and have NO idea how I can share the file with you all, but If I figure it out I will add it in eventually.
I backed all the pieces with papers from Maggie Holmes Bloom collection and added a D-lish dot to the middle of each that can be seen.

Here's some close ups..

Oodles of D-lish heaven right there!!
As the background is quite busy, I kept the embellishments pretty simple, apart from this main cluster. I've dipped into my flower stash again using a few of my favourites: Pastel petals, Forget Me Nots, Wax Blossoms and my newest favourite Magnolia (all linked at the end of the post). These flowers complimented the colours and patterns within the bloom collection perfectly! I also squeezed in a pick n place bow and a new fancy tassel.

Thats all from me today, I will be back again tomorrow with one final share for the month.
Until then, Happy Scrapping

Hello You ROCK | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello!!
It's time to share the first of my layouts for  D-lish Scraps this month.
Today's layout is based on the colours from the newest Inspiration Board

Each month I like to try my best to create something based off the board, even if it's not a feminine based colour palette. As you would know by now I mainly scrap layouts of Leila, as there's not much else that we take photos of around here lol

For this layout I took inspiration from the chevron pattern middle right, I had a cut file in mind that would work perfect for this

Here's what I came up with

Even though the quality of the photo used isn't that great, I still wanted to document it. I surprised Leila with another fun concert outing to The Wiggles last month. It was so much fun, and she loved it! Love sharing special moments like this with her

I've chosen a 12x12 background cut file (listed below) from The Cut Shoppe and backed it with pattern papers from the Craft Market Collection by Crate Paper and pieces of Bitty Bags. The whole page was then mounted to a pattern paper by Heidi Swapp

Here's some close ups..
I altered the wood veneer from Corbett creations with some silver distress stain and light sprinkling of silver glitter paste. I've layered this over a doily and added a Journal It arrow to complete the title. Cluster above contains a mix of my favourite paper flowers and a heart button (reverse side of a polka dot heart)

I added in a little typed journalling using my very dried up & much needed to be replaced trusty typewriter

To the right of the photo I've created another cluster from a resin bird, flair button, sequin bow and more paper flowers and a wood button.

The last cluster I created was a mini one, top right of the photo. I also tucked a Journal it tab with the date in above the photo, and layered some hand dyed muslin under the entire stack.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, be sure to check back tomorrow for my second D-lish share for the month

Until then, Happy Scrapping

Creative Cards | Hip Kits Guest Designer

Hi again! Im back with one last Guest Designer share for Hip Kits.
I've made some super quick cards with some left over bits n bobs from the January Kits

I'm happy to say that Im not the best maker of cards, but I am happy with how these turned out
I wanted them all to be completely different and individual, and I think it worked!

These two would have to be my favourites

To start this process I cut all the card bases from cardstock within the cardstock add on kit, then added to them with different papers and embellishments from the other January kits

For this card I've used another one of the cut files by Nicole to create large hearts, and sewed them down as if to replicate a bunch of balloons. I covered the bottom of the strings, which are hanging loose, with a sequin bow from my stash

Next up I made a smaller card with some scraps of paper, a chipboard frame, sticker by My Minds eye and doily from my stash. Super simple layers and a cute little reminder to Make today Amazing!

This card took no time at all once the glitter paste was dry on the veneer piece. Sadly mine was a little worse for wear when it arrived in its packaging, as you can see by the ginormous ridge along the e & o. Covering it in glitter seemed like the best way to hide its imperfections, and its a good way to make it stand out from the fun crazy pattern paper background!

Lastly there was this card, which took all of 2 minutes to complete! A strip of torn washi tape, vellum word from the kit, sewn through with my machine, then embellished with a gold chipboard heart and a tiny word sticker, then splattered with some gold color shine.

Thats all from me as a Guest Designer with Hip Kits. Thank you so much Kimberly for giving me the opportunity to share my work with everyone, and thank you to all of you that have stopped by to take a look. For now, Happy Scrapping

Adorbs | Hip Kits Guest Designer

Hi again Everyone! Today Im sharing the last layout I made with the January kits as a Hip Kit Guest Designer. I still have one more post to share soon, but this is the last layout I made.

Another photo of Leila, this time being her usual crazy faced self!

I've gone with a different design to my last few, but its yet another that I LOVE! I started with the strip of hearts paper by Crate Paper, plus a piece of vellum and some torn washi tape. Layers of papers from Basic grey and Crate paper make up the photo stack, then an abundance of embellishments in a slight diagonal/ scattered/ grouped / hard to describe but fun to make way!

That face! Goodness me it kills me lol

Love the mix of chipboard, stickers, die cuts, word stickers and banners

Lastly I've some gold glitter paste to the wood veneer piece match the gold glitter stickers around the page

Thanks so much for joining me today, I hop you've enjoyed seeing these layouts as much as I've really enjoyed creating and sharing them with you.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping

Love You Right Now | Hip Kits Guest Designer

Hello Everyone!! I'm back today with another Guest Design share for Hip Kits using the January Kits

I've chosen another photo of Leila, doing what she doesn't do very often these days, Co-operating for photos. It was a lovely day outside and our front decking was finally finished so what better way to celebrate than a mini photo shoot! Cant help it, this child is so photogenic, when she co-operates lol

I really liked the cut file I used in my last layout share that I had to use it again! I duplicated the design multiple times and welded it together randomly before cutting it out on white cardstock. Ive backed it with papers from the kit, then sewed with my machine in random places for added detail

Ive embellished lightly with chipboard and stickers, plus a scattering of exclusive acrylic confetti pieces and the enamel stickers from the middle of the My Minds Eye brads

Love how the cut file turned out, and the papers within the kit are so pretty

I kept the photo stack pretty simple with a strip of washi tape, a couple of tags, a doily and a piece of paper by My Minds eye

After realising Id mounted the cut file and photo too far over (WHOOPS) I roughed up the edges of the Basic Grey background paper and added some cardstock behind, I think it turned out well

Lastly, I've raised the entire cut file and photo stack with some foam to add dimension to the page, then finished off with a splattering of gold color shine

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope this has inspired you in some way
Happy Scrapping

XOXO | Hip Kits Guest Designer

Hi Everyone! Im back with my second Guest Designer share for Hip Kits using the fun loving January kits, and this would have to be my most favourite of all that I created

I've chosen a photo of Leila from when she was a baby, another of her laying down looking cute. Those big eyes make me melt!

I knew for this layout, that I wanted to make an impact. So I chose a cut file designed by Nicole, enlarged it to fill up the width of the page, then backed it with the ombre paper by Crate Paper and stitched around the edge to finish it off. I've mounted the entire cut file with foam onto the Basic Grey 'Maybe Paper' and embellished around the page with a mix of items from the kits and a Crate Paper die cut pack from my stash

Loving this teal floral paper by Basic Grey! I think Ive used it on each project created with these kits

Along the bottom of the page I've added strips of paper from Crate Paper, stickers and die cuts from Crate Paper and a brad from the My Minds Eye pack

I may have gone a little crazy with some gold glitter paste on the XOXO wood veneer, but it turned out perfect! And it works well with the glitter hearts on the page

This would have to be one of my most favourite clusters. Florals with a glitter heart, and my new favourite sentiment.. Celebrate you everyday... Absolutely!

Thanks for joining me today.
Happy Scrapping

Hello Love | Hip Kits Guest Designer

Hi Everyone!!
I have some super exciting news to share today

WOO HOO!!

Its been so hard to keep this little secret, but I'm so excited to be able to share the news, and a few projects that I've been working on behind the scenes

For my first share I chose a black & white photo of Leila in her Pjs being cute. I love staring at this little face, so I just had to scrap it!

I've kept the design of the page quite simple by adding strips of the tiny hearts and XOXO papers, both by Crate paper, along the top half and bottom of the white cardstock, and grouped the photo and main embellishment cluster to the centre to draw your attention to the photo.

Ive adhered the photo to the black & white striped Crate paper with a doily and raised it up with craft foam to keep it level with the chipboard frame. This also helps to give some dimension to the page. I added strips of the floral paper from Basic Grey under the photo and frame, to give a pop of Teal

To create the main cluster, I mixed together embellishments from both Crate paper and My Minds eye, plus a few of the exclusive acrylic confetti pieces. These kits are jam packed with a good mix of tags and stickers (including puffy stickers), plus some super cute brads! I've used one of the acrylic pieces on the calendar paper behind the chipboard frame, to highlight the date the photo was taken.

Along the bottom strip I've added a couple more stickers from My Minds eye, a chipboard heart and another acrylic confetti piece. I used a powder tool to remove the stickiness from the Butterfly sticker so that I could give it some dimension rather than stick it flat to the page. Then lastly to finish off the page, a sprinkling of black ink and gold color shine

A BIG Thank you to Kimberly for having me as a Guest designer. Its an honour to work with these kits, and share my work with you all.

Happy Scrapping
