Sweet & Wonderful | The Cut Shoppe

Hi Everyone! Its been a few days between layout shares, so I'm back today with something new! I've used my favourite of all the cut files released this year from The Cut Shoppe, and the last remnants of the super pretty Cocoa Vanilla Studio Free Spirit Collection.

I really love the Hello Hearts cut file and couldn't help but use it again for this layout. It's not often that Leila and I are in a photo together, and even though she's not too happy about it, I just had to document it. To make the cut file piece I duplicated the traced image and welded them all together to create one larger strip. Once cut out I attached it to the pattern paper using only my tiny attacher, then  I re-cut around the edges of the design. I could have saved time by cutting the pattern paper pieces out on the silhouette also, but I was enjoying a crop day with friends at the time so I had to hand cut.

Here's some close ups..

I really like the extra definition the cut file gave the page from not gluing it down to the pattern paper. I also popped it up off the page using some adhesive foam tape.

I even snuck in an extra cut piece to the right of the photo to tie it all together. This design works so well with the other die cuts from the Free Spirit collection

And lastly lots of messy stitching around the edges just for fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the new release files within The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store, and dont forget to share your creations with us!

Until Next Time, Happy Scrapping

Co-Operation Central | Hip Kit Club

Hi Everyone
I'm back today with a closer look at a layout I made for the Hip Kit Club DT Call.

I've used the July kits and a sketch that was set in August by Ashley Horton

I chose to scrap a grid of photos rather than just a single, as these tell more of this story than one  alone would have.  I love how it turned out!

Always get such good co-operation from this child HAHA

Heres some close ups..

I fussy cut some flowers from one of the exclusive papers to layer in clusters

The rub ons were so cute too!

This was so much fun to capture, and create. I love scrapping with bright colours, it always leaves a happy vibe.

I hope it inspires you in some way!

LOVE | D-lish Scraps

Hi everyone! I thought I would do a quick layout share on this cold and wet Sunday afternoon. I hope its warmer where you are today!

I've made this layout as part of a Challenge I set this month in the D-lish Scraps Scrap Suite on Facebook. The group is open to all crafters who LOVE D-lish Scraps. If you're not already a member, you can find the group HERE.

Each month a few of the designers set challenges to inspire your creativity. This month I've challenged everyone to create a floral explosion, using at least 5 different types of blooms from the D-lish Store

Here's a look at my layout with some close ups.
I never thought I could love this little face any more! Especially now that she LOVEs to take funny face photos with Snapchat..

I did go a little crazy with this explosion of flowers, but I couldn't help it! Theres so many pretty ones to choose from in the D-lish Store. The Butterfly is a cut file from The Cut Shoppe, and was accidentally broken in the process of creating.

I'm a little obsessed with glitter paste lately! These wood veneers are perfect to alter with it.

A Pick n Place bow and Butterfly bobby pin tucked into the top. I've had the Butterfly in my stash for so long, that they're no longer available in the shop lol

I think its time to replace the ribbon in my typewriter. Its getting harder and harder to read what I'm journalling about.

And lastly a third butterfly shape and some enamels to finish the layout off.

Products used from the D-lish Scraps shop:
Carnations, Forget me Not, Pastel Petal, Wax Blossom, Magnolias
Glitter & Skinny Washi tape
Butterfly Bobby Pin - no longer stocked

Thats all from me today, Thanks for stopping by
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Best Ever | The Cut Shoppe

Hello fellow Creators! I'm back today with a cute new layout using the Oodles of Doodles cut file set from The Cut Shoppe and a super cute photo of my little girl Leila. This face is so precious to us, and a few years have passed since the photo was taken, but I just had to share it with you all.

I've focused on using just 1 design from the set, the multiple heart shape, which I've duplicated 5 times and welded together to create a flower shape. Each similar part of the design has been backed with the same papers. Smaller hearts all in a spotted paper, middle heart pieces in an ombre brush stroke paper and the outer heart shapes in a multi coloured painted effect paper. Then lastly, the middle star with a bright green paper. Once all the pieces were backed I sewed around each shape with some white cotton thread.

Here's some close ups..
I alternated the stitching size around the shapes for some added texture

I embellished the page with some fussy cut flowers from the same collection, Fancy Free by Paige Evans. Love this collection and it is perfect for using with cut files!

Thats all from me today. I hope this has inspired you in some way.

Big Brother | Masters Challenge 8 - Kaisercraft

Hi Everyone! I thought It was time that I shared another Masters layout with you all.
This was made for the Kaisercraft challenge in Issue 19.04 and features their Always & Forever Collection.

The collection is full of florals and wedding themed designs, with a colour palette I wouldn't generally scrap with. And, as I'm not married and have no wedding photographs to suit the theme, I found it quite a tricky collection to work with. To that I could get a better feel for what I could create, I ended up removing all the wedding related items from the pack. This made it a little easier to work with.

I chose a photo of Leila, when she was only a few days old, being held by my Nephew Bailey. He was so very cute, and kept calling her his 'sister'. I originally had this layout complete without the woodgrain paper. However I felt there was too much white and roses, and it didn't look complete. I'm super happy with how it turned out, even though I still feel I didn't use the collection to its full potential.

Here's some close ups..

I've layered stickers and die cut shapes from the collection to create a large cluster along the middle of the page, then used a quote strip right along the middle, rather than a large title.

There were some wood veneers within this collection that I was able to glitz up with glitter paste. This added an extra texture to the page, and also some hints of sparkle

Lastly I finished the layout off with some typed journalling and some enamel shapes.

That's all from me today.
Until next time,
Happy Scrapping

Life with you | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello! Michelle back today with my final share for D-lish Scraps this month, and my last as part of the Current Design Team. I have really REALLY loved being part of the D-lish team for the amount of time that I've been here. I feel very honoured to have been able to share so much inspiration with you all for as long as I have. Many Thanks to Amanda for being such a Wonderful person to work for, and for keeping me around for as long as she has! It's been a truly amazing experience!

For my last share this month I just went with the flow of creating.
I grabbed a cute photo of Leila, some of my newest favourite collection thats not actually so new, a few of my favourites from the D-lish Store and came up with this..
I think this is by far one of my favourites from recent months. We really do love playing with Snapchat in this house! So many fun photos on my camera roll, and plenty of hilarious ones to break out for her 21st HAHA

Lets take a look at some close ups..

I've hoarded had this Flair in my stash for so long and I finally found the right layout to use it on. The colours were perfect and so was the wording. There's a Journal It date tab tucked in under those paper layers too.

I've added a cute little pick n place bow to the photo to make it look like Leila is actually wearing it

What's a pretty page without a delicate lace doily? I've used a 5inch size from my stash that is similar to the 6 inch size in store

There are so many beautiful blooms within the D-lish Shop that compliment each other so well. For this cluster I've grouped most of my favourites together - MagnoliaPastel PetalForget Me Not, and Wax blossom, along with a leaf shape wooden button and a Tassel

The Wood Veneer words within the Corbett Creations collection are perfect for adding a touch of sparkle to. I've used silver Glitter paste from BoBunny

Lastly I've added some wood buttons to the top and bottom corners of the page, along with some Enamel shapes and a Wordfetti strip. All other papers and embellishments are from the Fancy Free collection by Paige Evans for Pink Paislee.

Thats all from me.
Thanks so very much for stopping by today and for all the well wishes throughout my time here as a D-lish Designer.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping

Cherish Crazy | The Cut Shoppe

Hi Everyone! Today I have a fun layout to share using the new Strings Attached cut file set from The Cut Shoppe. I've teamed it up with a fun new Sketch designed by Ashley for her Stretch Your Sketch series with Missy Whidden..

I love the fun designs within this set and thought they would be perfect to use with the Sketch.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. The sketch was really easy to follow, and the cut file worked perfect for it. I've resized the different circle designs from the set by overlaying the traced shapes over a jpg image of the sketch within Silhouette Studio.

The cut-out pieces have been backed with papers from the fun and bright Fancy Free collection by Paige Evans, for Pink Paislee. I've also used the cut out shapes from inside of the star and heart circles as extra layers around the layout.

Here's come close ups..

I mixed up the way I backed each individual circle, I left the heart of this open so that I could layer embellishments above and within the shape

Crazy alright! Leila has always been a crazy face puller!! haha

These designs are perfect for layering and tucking embellishments within the cut pieces

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope this has been a hit of inspiration for you!!
Be sure to check out The Cut Shoppe Etsy store for more fun and inspiring designs, and don't forget to share what you make with us!
