Rainbow background fun

Hello everyone!
Back today to share a couple more layouts. I made these last year, but I completely forgot to share here.

Both were made during a scrap lifting phase I went through. Nothing wrong with a good ol scraplift! Just as long as you share where the inspiration comes from :)

First up is a layout lifted from Charm at Charms creations. I loved her layout so much that I had to recreate my very own version! There are differences between the 2, but the main background is what I was trying to achieve..

Next up... a scrap lift of someone, yet I can't remember who. This one sat there for that long waiting to be finished that I can't remember who it was that inspired me to get it started in the first place.
I had a lot of fun with gesso and neon mister hueys for this background :)

Thanks for stopping by, more newer layouts to share very soon

Current Favourite

Hello Everyone!
Today I'm sharing another layout made with the January Lots of Love Scrapbook kit and the Be Mine Embellishment kit from Scrappy Canary.  Im stretching these kits as far as they can go this month.

That paper was calling out to be scribbled all over

Toy Story is the most recent favourite movie/series of Leila's. Its constantly on repeat.  I introduced it a few weeks back and its been a nice change from Frozen or Mr Bean.. (yes I know Woody's tag line is "reach for the sky", but this paper worked so well with the theme of the photo)

Im quite enjoying sewing through alphas lately. Ive given mum the heads up that her newer machine is coming with me when we move house lol It sews through thickers with such ease

The stickers from the embellishment kit make the perfect mini banner cluster at the top of the page

A small cluster above the photo, made up of a tag and embellishments from both kits, finishes off the page.

Thanks for stopping by, Enjoy the rest of your week

Love this Girl xoxo

Hello fellow crafters,
back again today to share another layout made using this months Scrapbooking Kit Lots of Love.

This layout turned out completely different to what I had started out to achieve. I had a plan in mind to use the entire pack of Dear Lizzy watercolor words as a background... Well lets just say that failed miserably! If someone out there can achieve this please share it with us!

What I did come up with is this..
Ive used the 'Very Vanilla' and 'Bloom' papers to create a backing for my layout.

Then gathered together my favourite words from the Watercolor Words pack that worked best with my chosen photo. I layed them all out to one side of the layout and sewed them all down..

Lets just get it out there.. Baby poo brown was not what I was aiming for when using a gold glitter 'Wink of Stella' brush to make the 'Love this' stand out as part of the title. It does however look so much nicer in real life, with touches of sparkle and a proper gold shimmer.

More sweet sentiments from the 'little notes' paper, clipped onto tags and paper with a peg (all from the kit) Twine and what seems like my signature doily, they appear on most of my layouts these days, are both from my stash.

Lastly another sentiment from the 'Little Notes' paper attached to the top of the layout with part of the Very Vanilla barcode strip, the glasses are printed along the bottom strip. So cute!

Thanks again for stopping by today, back soon with more to share from this fun kit!

Happiness is..

Hello Everyone
I trust you are all having a wonderful start to a new week! I had intentions of posting this over the weekend, but my January Scrappy Canary kits were calling to be played with, so I spent more time creating than being online..

Right back to the sharing :) This layout was made using this months SKETCH and the newly released  Lots of Love Scrapbook Kit, both from Scrappy Canary

Ive flipped the sketch, and tweaked it slightly to suit the pretty glitter 'Happiness' title.
Ive chosen complimenting pattern papers from within the kit and layered them up under my photo with one of my favourite go to doilies.. Then I went a little crazy with the 'Little notes' paper

The little sentiments make a perfect finishing touch to the title,

A cute clipped banner above the photo,

Another mini banner to the top right of the page,

and lastly a little pop up on the strip of paper to the left of the page.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope this has inspired you in some way.
I will be back again tomorrow to share layout #2 using this months Scrapbooking kit.

Happy Birthday Leila

Hello everyone!

I hope you're all enjoying your week. Today I thought I'd drop in to share yet another Birthday layout :)

I'm slowly going back through Leila's older photos and picking out those that work with current Scrapbooking collections. My most recent favourite collection being Dear Lizzy - Serendipity

This layout was inspired by the January Mood Board Challenge over at Jot Magazine. Ive not actually entered any of these challenges before, but thought this would make a great start!

Inspiration for the layout came from the colour palette, the confetti, twine and sequin shaker pocket.

I started the page by making a full page shaker pocket.
Using white cardstock as the backing, plain vellum for the front and strips of pattern papers for the top and bottom edges. I sewed around 3 sides, before tipping in a bag full of silver sequins of all shapes and sizes.

After sewing up the last side, I played around with the position of the twine. I settled for roughly looped across the bottom of the photo.

To finish it off, I've added a mixed alpha title (currently my favourite way to add titles to a page) and a few different hearts. Minimal embellishing so as not to distract from the photo :)

Plain vellum
Studio Calico white Doily

Love Us

Hello everyone :)
Back again today to share another page made using the remnants of this months Scrappy Canary kit

This page would have to be one of the quickest pages Ive made to date. It all came together without much thought in less than an hour! With its rectangular layers of pattern papers, mixed with my go to 'stash items' (Doily and vellum) its definitely on my list of favourites!

Ive added minimal embellishments so as not to clash with the pretty floral paper from Echo Park. And Im still in love with those gold glittery thickers!

Thanks for stopping by.

Daddy's Little Girl

Hello Everyone,
Today I want to share a recent page created for Scrappy Canary using the December Sunshine & Lollipops kit. I'm stretching these kits to their full potential lately!

For this layout I wanted to show off as many elements of the kit as possible. I've cut strips from all the pattern papers and weaved them together to the right of the page. Ive used plain vellum and a doily to mat my photo, then layered up different embellishments and stickers from the kit to make mini clusters and the title
.
Ive used some gesso to tone down the papers slightly so that they don't distract from the photo too much.

A mixed alpha and sticker combo makes up the title and completes the page

Thanks for stopping by, 1 more layout made with this kit to share with you tomorrow
