Hi Everyone! 2 posts in 1 day?? It doesn't happen very often, but WOO HOO when it does ;)
I thought I might try my luck with the newly announced Scrap the Girls challenge. This is the first time entering these challenges as previous months Ive been quite busy. I managed to find some time yesterday to push some papers around and came up with something quite pretty
Heres a look at the sketch, you can find the post with all the details regarding the challenge HERE
To make it work for the photo I chose, I flipped & rotated the sketch so it looked more like this
And this is what I came up with, I hope you like it :)
I've used the 'Life is Beautiful' collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and the recent cut files for the 'Colour me Happy' Collection. Backing cut files with pattern papers has become a fun new technique to try out lately, and these flowers were perfect for it. I absolutely adore this collection, and felt the colours worked well with this photo of Leila. Still can't believe how quickly she is growing up. Its like we blinked and missed half her life!
Stickers and die cuts are perfect for layering together. And whats a pretty, girly layout without my favourite doily?
Cant forget to add in some form of journalling. Even though I love my handwriting, I do prefer the clean look of typed journalling, it finishes the page off just nicely.
And lastly a closer look at the cut files cluster.. so pretty!
Thanks for stopping by again, be sure to check back for more creative fun tomorrow
Oh and heres the link to the current cut files in the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Shop
Until then, Happy Scrapping
