Our first assignment was to create something inspired by this months Inspiration Board.
A bright palette of ombre pinks, yellows and oranges! Something sure to keep those looming winter blues at bay. Lots of pretty flowers, textures and patterns make up this board and the possibilities are endless! As always, if you need a kick start, we've included the optional sketch to get you going.
And this is what I came up with
A layout inspired by one of my scrapbooking idols Maggie Holmes. After an early morning blog browsing session I came across her layout here, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the scalloped paper. My scallops didnt turn out perfect but still gave the layout some dimension.
I love the mix of D-Lish goodies that arrived in my first big spend up, below is a list of products I've used within my page.
D-Lish products used
Freckled Fawn Paper clips - Cameras (currently not available)
Other Products
Studio Calico Printshop papers and stickers
Glitz Roller doodle
Orange gelato
A close up of the cluster of sequins and flowers, and where I've used some watered down gelato.
I used some foam tape to make the Journal It's arrows Pop..
I am LOVING my MOTEX right now, but have found the only way to get it to stay stuck is to add extra adhesive or use my beloved Tiny attacher - which you might see throughout the photos is the main way I 'stick' things to my pages.
And lastly the hand died Muslin pops out from the tops of the papers adds another texture to the page.
I hope you like my first share for this seasons D-Lish Creative team..

Love those pink converse (so cute!), and the whole pink and orange colour scheme. Scallop cut outs look awesome. Nice!
