Hello Hello! I'm back here today to share another creation for Cocoa Vanilla Studio. Another layout made at the recent Creative Escape retreat using a new and exclusive collection of goodies just for retreat attendees. Perfect for scrapping photos of the amazing view we had each day on our walk down to breakfast.
The venue itself was amazing, including this view on our way down to breakfast each morning. If you get the chance to join us next year, you definitely should!
The design of the layout came together pretty quickly, starting with a full sheet of the sweet spotty paper for the background, a few different pattern papers layered together to create the photo stack and a couple small clusters. To create the photo stack I cut a banner out of one pattern, tore the bottom of another, added the photo to a 3rd complimenting pattern and then layered them all together and raised them off the paper using foam for dimension.
I tucked a piece of a journal card into the top of the photo, and created a cluster top left using a fussy cut floral piece from a journal card, die cut heart from the ephemera pack, stickers from the sticker sheet, a couple of enamel dots from other Cocoa Vanilla Studio Collections.
I really could have stayed at this resort forever, that view never looked bad, and those stickers best represented how I felt the entire time I was there. Really really good company, food and excellent times!
The ephemera pack contained the perfect words to use as my title. Good Vibes - very very good vibes!
Lastly I created one last small cluster using a couple of stickers, more die cut ephemera an exclusive flair and some enamel dots and splattered the page with some gold ink.
Thats all from me today, I hope you've enjoyed seeing a little snippet of what we were spoilt with at retreat. Both the amazing view and exclusive products. Be sure to keep an eye out on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio page for information on when the next retreat may be.
Until next time, happy Scrapping!

Hello Scrappy friends! I'm back here today refreshed from time spent at Retreat and ready to share my newest layout featuring an older collection Hello Sunshine. The bright rainbow assortment of colours was the perfect way to kickstart my creative mission of scrapping till I fell asleep each day.
If you weren't already aware, this past weekend a wonderful bunch of 60+ women (plus one fella) were able to spend a relaxing few days in Coffs Harbour at the very first Cocoa Vanilla Studio Creative Escape Retreat. Words cannot express how amazing this weekend was, from the food to the laughter to the absolutely perfect beachside setting, everything was wonderful. I was super productive and able to create multiple things to share with you all here over the coming months, many inspired by creations you've already seen.
First up was the creation I'm sharing today which was inspired by a challenge set at Retreat to create a rainbow effect similar to those shared by Ulrike, HERE and HERE. I loved everything about the circular layout the Ulrike created from the minute I saw it, but was unsure how to recreate it without making it look identical. I ended up creating something quite similar - love a good scrap lift to kickstart the scrapping mojo!
I took inspiration from all the types of embellishments used and the shape they all formed and just went from there. I kicked myself multiple times throughout the process of this layout HAHA and had many witness's to just how long it took to fussy cut every single one of those flowers from the FULL BLOOM paper. It took me all night, and into the next morning to get that part done. Once the cutting was complete, I arranged the pieces in a rough circular shape and dove into the embellishments and cut apart paper to fill in the gaps
The first section I stuck down was the photo layered with the 'too cool' popsicle card from the SUMMER HITS Cut apart paper, a film strip and the 'You are my sunshine' piece from the ephemera pack plus part of a sticker from the accessory sheet to use as a date tab. I then worked around the page in an anti-clockwise direction gluing pieces here and there within a circular shape.
I layered labels and ephemera pieces, and raised some items up with foam tape for different heights of dimension.
I added puffy stickers, enamel shapes and even a few of the woodies in complimenting colours.
I worked around the circle using the rainbow effect. So much fun! and so easy to create with this collection.
I added in multiple word tags/sentiments that best reflected the photo and memory of the day it was taken. We had been out playing mini golf/putt putt for the first time as a family. It was so much fun and there were many hilarious moments watching Leila learn to play.
Lastly I've added splatters of coloured ink in rainbow colours to match the different sections. In the end, after all that fussy cutting that I swore I would never do again lol, I think the layout turned out pretty good. It's a little more square than circular, but I still love the rainbow effect it creates, and all the fun sweet floral designs around the page really make my day.
Well thats all for today, I hope this has inspired you to get out this older collection if its in your stash, or snap it up in store before it disappears. The rainbow assortment of designs in the collection are just singing for you to create something similar!
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
