CUT to YOU | Wonderful You

Hello! I'm back today with a new layout to share with you all. I've used the awesome Banner Trio cut file for this creation along with a CRAZY photo of my cheeky Leila.

To start the layout I duplicated the top design within the Banner Trio set, and resized each piece individually so they were all slightly different in length. I cut them out using white cardstock and my silhouette machine then backed using some pretty pattern papers from the Maggie Holmes Willow Lane collection. SO sweet!

I adhered the banners to the cardstock background using foam tape, giving each piece slight dimension on the page.

I slightly overlapped them all to give a true bunting banner feel. I added the photo stack to the right side of the banners, layered with different coloured cards and pattern paper to compliment the banners

I fussy cut flowers and butterflies from the collection to create a cluster at the end of the bottom banner

And added a smaller cluster along with hand written journalling along the bottom right of the layout. Once all the bits and pieces were glued in place I adhered the entire background to a larger pattern paper and sewed around the edges using machine and thread. This gave the entire layout a boost of colour and helps make the cut file pieces really pop out from the page.

Thats all from me today. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Girls Day Out | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello. Today I'm here to share my first layout for D-lish Scraps this month. I'm documenting a cute photo of Leila and our friend Charlotte during a Girls Day out date. I love the soft feminine colours of the Bloom collection by Maggie Holmes as they've blended perfectly with the products in the D-lish Shop

I've been quite inspired by so many circular style layouts lately, especially the Stretch your Sketch series by Ashley Horton & Missy Whidden. This layout was inspired by the sketch they've created for that series.  And as I've used quite a few pattern papers on the background design, I kept the embellishing to a minimum. I really love how its all turned out.

Here's some close ups..

I added some extra texture to each of the circles with some machine stitching, and set the embellishments out in small grouped clusters

To ensure the Kaisercraft Alpha stickers stay put, I've sewed through each line.

I'm trying my best to add some form of journalling to each page I create. Sometimes it's not always possible, but a sentence or 2 are all thats needed.

I layered the photo stack with a doily and added a Corbett Creation Bow to the bottom left corner of the photo. I also added a hint of gold sparkle with some glitter paste

The embellishments I've repeated within the clusters are: Paper FlowersResin flowersWood veneer hearts, and 2 flair buttons. I've also tucked in some die cuts from the Bloom collection Ephemera pack, and a wordfetti strip.

Thats all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by.
Back tomorrow with my second creation
Until then, Happy Scrapping!

Love So Sweet | D-lish Scraps

Hello Again fellow Scrappers!
I'm back again with another layout share for D-lish Scraps and another Selfie of Leila and I. Seems to be our thing right now.

I really LOVE how this turned out! It involved a little bit of experimenting with Silhouette Studio, including multiple cuts, loads of wasted paper, but I got there in the end..

I started by making a basic cut and fold file in Silhouette Studio. I only have the basic version and have NO idea how I can share the file with you all, but If I figure it out I will add it in eventually.
I backed all the pieces with papers from Maggie Holmes Bloom collection and added a D-lish dot to the middle of each that can be seen.

Here's some close ups..

Oodles of D-lish heaven right there!!
As the background is quite busy, I kept the embellishments pretty simple, apart from this main cluster. I've dipped into my flower stash again using a few of my favourites: Pastel petals, Forget Me Nots, Wax Blossoms and my newest favourite Magnolia (all linked at the end of the post). These flowers complimented the colours and patterns within the bloom collection perfectly! I also squeezed in a pick n place bow and a new fancy tassel.

Thats all from me today, I will be back again tomorrow with one final share for the month.
Until then, Happy Scrapping

Together | Scrappy Canary

Hello and Happy Weekend!!

Im back today with another layout share for Scrappy Canary using the current Leila Scrapbook kit, and some coordinating stickers from the Maggie Holmes Shine collection.

I actually started this page without a specific photo in mind. I really wanted to made a grid with random cards from the cut apart sheet mixed with some of the reverse black and off white stripe paper. It started off very similar to a previous page I had made, I've been doing that a bit lately!

I ended up chosing another photo from my cousins wedding for this layout, taken by Enchanted Wedding Photography. Another sneaky photo taken, without us knowing, and I love it! It certainly was a lovely day, and we loved that Leila was able to share the occasion with us too. I felt the sentiments on the cards and the photo of the 3 of us together worked perfectly together

I kept the grid of cards pretty simple, I cut the different cards all the same size and roughed up the edges, then layered with off cuts of papers, some heart and word stickers

even layered up some tags and cards from the ephemera pack

and lastly a extra pop of colour to the right of the photo with some more stickers and a acetate word for the title

Thanks for stopping by the last 2 days, I hope to have more to share with you very soon!

Remember Love | Scrappy Canary

Hi Scrappy friends!!
Im back today with a new layout share for Scrappy Canary using the current Scrapbook kit Leila and the Maggie Holmes Add on kit. Ive made 6 layouts in total so far, and still got plenty of papers and bits to use up!

The photo Im sharing with this layout is of Leila at my cousins wedding early last year. So well behaved and sitting nicely. I didn't even know that this was taken, but boy am I glad that it was. Certainly one of my favourites. However It was only moments before a sudden outburst that she needed to go to the toilet right then and there!!

Ive kept the papers and embellishments to a minimum with this layout, as I really wanted the photo to be the main focus of the page, along with the large mixed title

If you hadn't already guessed, I do like to mix up my titles. Whether it be different alpha stickers or die cut words, even cards from cut apart papers work well for mixed titles

I've also added in some stickers from the co-ordinating Maggie Holmes sticker sheet that I had in my stash, and splattered some black Color shine to finish the page off

Thanks for stopping by today
more to share tomorrow

Happy Scrapping!!

Crazy little Critter.. for Scrappy Canary

Hi Everyone!
Can you believe this year is almost over?? I certainly can't. Its gone way too quickly
Today Im sharing a new layout using the current Scrappy Canary Scrapbook kit - Leila and the Maggie Holmes Shine Add-on

Simple ripped paper layers, mini clusters of embellishments, machine stitching, a mixed alpha title, delicate doily and a splattering of inks... these are a few of my favourite things

This crazy kid... We often find her perched, or hear her meowing multiple times throughout the day. She thinks its hilarious!! I've added this into the journalling that is hidden behind the photo

I'm really liking the floral embellishments within the Shine collection, this one from the chipboard sticker sheet complimented the papers perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by today,
Be sure to stop by again tomorrow for another layout share

Hello Happy Day.. for Scrappy Canary

Hello fellow Scrappers!
Im back today with another layout share using the current Scrappy Canary Scrapbook kit - Leila

I loved the bright, fun, happy colours of the triangular shaped paper within the kit.
It matched perfectly with the colours in the photo Ive chosen to document

Leila often brings us plates of cakes and deserts from her play kitchen. On this day it was an extra special cake for her Uncle Tim as it was his birthday, and she was cooperative enough for me to take a photo to send to him. Bonus!
I know I say this about pretty much all of my layouts, but I LOVE how this one turned out!!
The colours, the embellishments, the happy little face in the photo (this was the week we both had a crazy head cold that had wiped out of energy to do nothing more than snuggle in bed, or on the couch. You wouldn't think it from the smile she gave me, but she was pretty miserable for the remainder of that day, and we missed out on seeing Uncle Tim for his birthday dinner)

Ive grouped the photo (and signature doily) together with tags and floral embellishments from both the Main kit and the Maggie Holmes Shine Add-On. Love the mix of colours, with the pops of gold throughout

The acetate tags are a cute finishing touch to the sides of photos, good for layering as they are see through and mix well with the other embellishments

LOVING this roller stamp! I think I've used it on each page so far..

I've created the title from the 'hello love' wood veneer that I cut down and layered behind the 'Happy day' die cut

Lastly some handwritten journalling and splatters of Gold colorshine to finish the page off

Thanks for stopping by today, more to share very soon

Mummy the Hairdresser

Hello Everyone :)
Today is Sketch day over on the Scrappy Canary Blog. And boy do we have something different to share today.

This month the sketch is based on the very last layout I squeezed out of the January Lots of Love Scrapbook kit. I only had odd sized scraps and strips of papers from the kit, including the bottom barcode strips. Ive also included embellishments from the Be Mine kit

Completely different to my normal layered up style, this time Ive gone for a more spread out page. Lots of different size strips and scraps make up the base, with the addition of a doily from stash, a tag stickers and embellishments from the embellishment kit.

All this layout is missing, is a little baggie of the curls I collected from the floor after chopping off all her dry ends. I might squeeze it in behind the main photo.. one day

The only thing I haven't done as usual is sew my thickers down. I might do this one day in the future to keep them in the same place. Ive found recently they aren't as sticky as they should be, as I've had to go back and fix older layouts.

There you have it. A layout completely different to my usual style but one that was totally fun to complete :)

Thanks for stopping by

Love this Girl xoxo

Hello fellow crafters,
back again today to share another layout made using this months Scrapbooking Kit Lots of Love.

This layout turned out completely different to what I had started out to achieve. I had a plan in mind to use the entire pack of Dear Lizzy watercolor words as a background... Well lets just say that failed miserably! If someone out there can achieve this please share it with us!

What I did come up with is this..
Ive used the 'Very Vanilla' and 'Bloom' papers to create a backing for my layout.

Then gathered together my favourite words from the Watercolor Words pack that worked best with my chosen photo. I layed them all out to one side of the layout and sewed them all down..

Lets just get it out there.. Baby poo brown was not what I was aiming for when using a gold glitter 'Wink of Stella' brush to make the 'Love this' stand out as part of the title. It does however look so much nicer in real life, with touches of sparkle and a proper gold shimmer.

More sweet sentiments from the 'little notes' paper, clipped onto tags and paper with a peg (all from the kit) Twine and what seems like my signature doily, they appear on most of my layouts these days, are both from my stash.

Lastly another sentiment from the 'Little Notes' paper attached to the top of the layout with part of the Very Vanilla barcode strip, the glasses are printed along the bottom strip. So cute!

Thanks again for stopping by today, back soon with more to share from this fun kit!

Happy Creating

Happiness is..

Hello Everyone
I trust you are all having a wonderful start to a new week! I had intentions of posting this over the weekend, but my January Scrappy Canary kits were calling to be played with, so I spent more time creating than being online..

Right back to the sharing :) This layout was made using this months SKETCH and the newly released  Lots of Love Scrapbook Kit, both from Scrappy Canary

Ive flipped the sketch, and tweaked it slightly to suit the pretty glitter 'Happiness' title.
Ive chosen complimenting pattern papers from within the kit and layered them up under my photo with one of my favourite go to doilies.. Then I went a little crazy with the 'Little notes' paper

The little sentiments make a perfect finishing touch to the title,

A cute clipped banner above the photo,

Another mini banner to the top right of the page,

and lastly a little pop up on the strip of paper to the left of the page.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope this has inspired you in some way.
I will be back again tomorrow to share layout #2 using this months Scrapbooking kit.

Happy Scrapping
