Love you THIS much | D-lish Scraps

Hello D-lish friends & fans! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps that was super quick to create. Love when you get an idea that comes together so well. For this layout I've scrapped some mini photos of my 2 loves on an 8.5x11inch layout

I chose the smaller size layout as lately I've been struggling with ideas on how to fill the page with different ideas and products, and I tend to keep doing the same things over and over again. So with this smaller size layout, I felt I had achieved something great. I chose a couple of the Scribble circle with stars Creative Cuts and popped them off the background in 3 places using some foam tape. In each of the 2 larger circular pieces Ive added the photos, and in the largest circle I also added an extra Creative cut as the title for the layout. This piece was within the December advent calendar.

In the top left piece I've added a couple of labels from a past Just Add paper kit, a pick n place bow, faceted enamel dots, Little Birdie flower and a star shape creative cut to complete the cluster.

To balance out the clusters on the page I created this tiny one with some more of the Little Birdie flowers an enamel dot and creative cut pieces.

These 2 are seriously so much fun (most of the time HAHA) 

Lastly I added a couple of bits from past Just Add Paper kits to form the base of this cluster, then added another star Creative Cut, Little Birdie flower, enamel dots and some ink splatters to finish it all off.

I've not added any journalling as I felt the page was just right as is, but if in future I felt like adding any I would add it to the back of the layout.

Favourite Things | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello! I'm back today with my second layout share for D-lish Scraps this month. You may have seen this already if you're a member of the Scrap Suite on Facebook, as it was shared last night as part of the newest Cyber Crop challenge for all our D-lish Scraps friends. 

My challenge for you all is to create a project using all of the items listed below

An idea for this layout came about after browsing through older projects I've created, I find it helps when I'm lacking inspiration. There were a few I had created for D-lish throughout my time here on the team that I wanted to replicate in some way you can find them HERE, HERE and HERE. They're a mixture of grids, list making, clusters and some form of diagonal theme are definitely a few of my favourite ways to document this child of mine.

Heres a closer look at how it all came together including loads of D-lish goodness

I've used a full 12x12 piece of pattern paper by Cocoa Vanilla Studio for my background, something I very rarely do, then arranged the photos in a rough grid form around the middle of the page. I tucked in some older square Journal it cards under neath 2 of the photos using colours that complimented them.

Over on the top right photo I've created one of the 2 clusters featuring a colour journal it, flair button, 2 types of flowers, faceted enamel dots and a flower creative cut. I also added a piece of ombre wordfetti into the layers of journal its under the photo

Down on the bottom left I've replicated the same elements as the other cluster but swapped the circle journal it for a Jumbo Note ticket and added a lace doily in the 5 inch size. The "HELLO MY NAME IS" journal it tucked into the layers can be found in the Monochrome journal packs. I've also tucked in a piece of a Pastel 'Sweet talker' to balance out the colours 

Lastly I added a title using some of the fun Puffy alphabet stickers, some typed words and a date stamp. Around the page I've added my 'journalling' which is a random selection of all Leila's most favourite things.

Since documenting Leila's list of favourites earlier this year, things have changed just a little. She's gone from loving and obsessing over PJ Masks and Beanie Boos to loving everything Super Mario Bros. And I mean OBSESSED! Nearly every second thing, apart from food, she talks about is something to do with Mario or Luigi. Theres only 2 toys in her 'plush' collection and they seem to follow her everywhere. Anywhere from in the car to school to snuggling up in bed and out in the shed with Dad.

Learning is AWESOME | D-lish Scraps

Hello Friends! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps featuring THIS months Just Add Paper kit - Off the Wall. Such a cool kit to work with, and even though its kind of a Boys kit, it still totally works with photos of Leila that are a little less girly. 

 

A few months back Leila's class celebrated all things Alphabet, with the children all dressing as their favourite letter. Leila chose to go as the letter Z and kept telling everyone she was a Zebra HAHA (There may have been a very last minute late at night sewathon to create the T-shirt she wanted to wear lol)

I created the layout using 2 photos grouped together and slightly off centre, with the title to the right with a chunk of journalling underneath. I added 2 main clusters diagonally across the layout, and a smaller sprinkling of bits to finish off the design triangle. All pieces used on the layout come from the CURRENT Off the Wall Just add Paper kit.

Now a closer look at all the D-lish bits n bobs 💕💕💕

Everything I've used on the layout is from the KIT, with the exception to the new and AMAZING faceted Enamel dots. You can find them HERE - They're SO cool! That RAD flair is pretty awesome!

I loved these exclusive cut files! Such a great layering piece for someone who doesn't like to get too messy with backgrounds. Gives a slight texture to a page where its needed. I also added pieces of torn tissue paper, some of the green washi tape and some fun turquoise hessian under the photos.

Love LOVE loved this silver sparkly smiley face! Although I wasn't too impressed when I noticed I'd accidentally splattered it with Color Shine lol Happens all too often 

I layered the face over some more tissue paper, washi tape, hessian and a piece of the Creative Cut. I tucked in the green polka dot star flair and added a button star and enamel dots to finish off the cluster.

I coated the entire "Awesome" veneer piece in silver glitter paste, then felt it needed an extra colour so I pained half with some delusions paint, then some more glitter paste over the top. I combined this with some white letter stickers from my stash to create the title, and drew around the white letters so that they stood out more

Lastly I added some handwritten journalling and a few too many splatters of black Color Shine around the layout and called it done.

Happy as Larry | D-lish Scraps

Hello Scrappy friends!! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps that I made over the weekend at an amazing retreat I attended. Was such a wonderful time, and I even got to meet a few fellow Team members in real life, plus plenty more Inspiring creatives! Didn't get too much creating done though as I spent a lot of time talking or pushing papers around lol and most layouts I needed to add more to once I got home after forgetting certain things when I was packing.

The layout I've chosen to share today was based on my sketch from the July Cyber crop challenge. I really liked the base design of the sketch and it was a perfect way to kickstart my scrapping inspiration over the weekend. 

I scrapped a photo of Leila from a few weeks ago while we were trying to enjoy the school holidays. This poor mumma was struck down with a dreaded head cold/ flu virus that wiped me out the entire 2 weeks off, so Leila spent quite a few days rotating between books, creating in her art book, loads of Screen time and playing with toys. Her favourite pastime is definitely screen time .... mixing it up between Youtube toy reviews, ABC for kids app and her Mathletics school app. Fun times!

Heres another look back at the sketch, which I rotated clockwise for a vertical design. I can't help it, I'm addicted to flipping and rotating sketches!

I ended up spreading out the embellishments to create a diagonal design, and added in an extra cluster of goodness to balance it all out.

Here's a closer look at all the pretty bits n bobs...

I've used most of my favourite embellishments in these clusters, choosing colours that complimented the papers from the Life is Beautiful collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I turned the Bitty Bow clip on its side and slid it onto the photo, then created a cluster to the left using a Little Birdie flower, paper flower, flair button, ombre wordfetti and some of the stunning NEW faceted enamel dots

As always I've added a lace doily within the layers of papers under the photo. I love the soft delicate design they add to a layout. I chose to use a Black & White photo as there were so many colours within it that would clash with the colours I chose to scrap with. I've also tucked in some strips of pattern Journal It cards to the top of the photo (blue & yellow)

To the right of the photo I created a smaller cluster using a gold sequin bow, wordfetti piece, more faceted enamel dots, paper and Little Birdie flowers. 

Along the bottom of the layout I've grouped together some Journal It's (circle & hello my name is card, a strip cut from a yellow speech bubble card Journal It, Happy Day journal It ticket from a mixed pack I've hoarded for so long), more flowers the same as the other clusters, a butterfly Creative Cut and some more faceted enamel dots. Other pieces added into all the clusters are from the ephemera and sticker sets within the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Collection.

Lastly I created a large title using the "Happy" word creative cut (from the Script Words set), and some white Puffy Alphabet stickers. I added the stitching for some detail, but to also ensure they stuck for good. A few lines of typed text journalling and then some splatters of gold ink and the layout was complete.

You & Me | D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone, I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps. For this layout I've chosen to follow along with the current Inspiration board, combining both the colours and the sketch to create a layout that has become one of my new favourites. 

I had to dip into my mixed pattern papers stash for the background border and the pieces of silver dot paper, but the remainder of the products used are all from the D-lish shop.

You can read all about the current Inspiration board HERE, but for now here's a look at the layout I created..

I ended up turning the sketch on its side and following along with a similar design, but adding way more embellishments than I was planning on. Always the way! LOL

I drew inspiration from the circular elements, the floral 'clusters' and definitely the middle layer of the cake... YUM!

In the main cluster of the layout I've combined 2 different flowers - Magnolias & forget-me-not, a sequin bow, flair button, a journal it, creative cuts, Kinder Kreations geometric heart, Glitter enamel dots and 2 pieces from a past Just add paper kit - the Tassel & veneer heart that I've covered in glitter. 

I repeated the smaller flowers down on the bottom layer along with another veneer heart covered in glitter, enamel dots and a strip of washi also from the JAP kit.

Another Creative Cuts piece used for a title, popped up off the page with my hot glue gun and roughly drawn around the edge for a little definition..

For the top of the photo area I've used more repetition of products combined in the other clusters, with the inclusion of a Bitty Bow clip and a journal it tab that I've had in my stash for as long as I've been a DT member (which is a very very long time in some books lol) 

And lastly a printed tag with hidden journalling, tucked under the photo and a white lace doily peeking out from underneath too.

Sweet Snapshots of Fun | D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps featuring more of the awesome new Creative Cuts available in store. We all know how much I love cut files, and the best thing about these... They're already cut and ready to go!! 

Over the holidays Leila had her class bear come to visit, so we spent some time showing him around the house, meeting her other toy friends and playing in the playroom. We had so many photos to choose from, but these 2 were her favourites so thats what I'm using to document the story. 

I've used both of the frames included in the Hashtags + frames set to frame the 2 photos, layered a handful of pretty embellishments around in clusters and finished the page with a mixed title. 

Here's some close ups 

Firstly I worked out the placement of the photos and frames, added my favourite doilies behind and raised them up with some foam sheets for dimension. Then I've filled the O of the XO frame with a flair button. 

Next I worked on the clusters, made up of the very pretty new Little Birdie Pearl Petals, a forget me not flower and some glitter enamel dots. In this cluster I've also added in a Bitty Pick n place bow, a piece of dyed muslin and an ombre wordfetti strip that I've written on to make the words stand out more.

For this group I've used the same flowers and enamel dots, another ombre wordfetti strip and a flair button, more muslin (which I hope makes an appearance back in store some day) and 2 words to create the title from the Script Words creative cuts set. I like mixing things together to create titles, its fun!

Lastly I've added in a few different Journal Its to add a touch of journalling, and a date circle - which upon writing this post up, I've realised I completely forgot to add the date to. Whoops!

XOXO | D-lish Scraps

Hello Everyone! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps featuring a few of the new products in store now, and some super cute photos of Leila and her new toothless smile.. I will admit, it almost ended in an epic color shine explosion fail, but I saved it as best I could without having to redo the entire layout.

I kept the background pretty simple (until the colorshine exploded) by using a mint & silver dot paper along with some white cardstock and machine stitching. I then placed 3 of the scribble circles from our new Creative Cuts sets, and sewed and stapled onto the background to create a base for all my clusters. Next I added the photos with some pink pattern paper, and layered with some foam sheet for dimension. And lastly I worked on all the clusters and title before splattering the gold color shine and almost ruining the page. I ended up patching the layout top and bottom with clean cardstock then lightly splattering again with more colorshine.

Here's some close ups 

I kept the clusters pretty simple using some of the sweet new Little Birdie Watercolour Flowers, a D-lish Flair button, my favourite Forget-Me-Not flowers, Journal It circles, Resin Glitter dots and some ombre wordfetti. 

I've added a sweet little Pick n place bow to this cluster but didn't repeat the Journal It or Wordfetti as I felt that it would distract the eye from the title. I did repeat the purple colour by using an enamel dot. To make the XOXO Creative Cut title stand out a little more, I've added a little detail with a black sharpie pen, then gave it some dimension with some foam tape. 

Many photos taken this morning, and not so many of them contain one where you can actually see the missing tooth (bottom row in the front) However loads of sweet photos like these happened..

The last cluster is a repetition of the first, just using a longer ombre wordfetti strip, and different designs of the Journal It and Flair button. I also added a new Butterfly Creative cut to the top of the scribble circle to fill in some blank space.

Lastly a little banner made from some Ombre wordfetti and an older arrow journal it, both fishtailed and stapled onto the page. Then came the gold explosion which I mentioned earlier lol

Currently Obsessed | D-lish Scraps

Hello Scrappy friends! I'm super excited to be sharing yet another creation for D-lish Scraps today. Can you believe I've been part of a team there for over 3 years now? I couldn't, but Facebook memories shared one of my first creations the other day from back when there was an Inspiration team as well as the Design Team.. Any hoo, lets get back to the sharing for today..

Todays layout is focused on a challenge from last months Cyber Crop, set by Belinda. Its almost time for a new crop weekend, so I thought I'd share something to remind everyone that there's still time to participate.. Belinda's challenge was to create a layout centred around a list. I chose to document all of the things that Leila has recently been obsessed with, and upon writing this post I've realised I spelt obsessed wrong on my list lol I can never remember whether its 2 x ss or 1 s then 2... 

I started the page with my list, using some notepaper from a pad and a sharpie. I then trimmed the paper down and stapled it to some pattern paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studio to create a clip board, just without the clip. Using other pattern papers from the same collection (Make a Wish) I created a grid design pattern for the photo and clipboard list to sit over. I also added machine stitching for a little added detail. Next was the really fun part, embellishing with goodies from the D-lish Store. 

Here's some close ups, along with extra details on the pretty clusters..

This cluster definitely contains quite a few of my favourites, most of which make an appearance on nearly all of my layouts. Pastel petals, forget me not's, glitter enamel dots, stamens, Journal its, a Flair button and a new Bitty bow clip. Oh and a pretty chipboard star from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection I've used.

Here's a closer look at the list and photo 😍 I've tucked a doily in under all the layers, something I haven't been doing as regularly as I used to. I may have gone a little overboard with them for a while lol

Just a mini cluster over to the top right, also containing repetition of paper flowers, enamel dots, stamens, a Flair button, another chipboard star from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, and a Journal it ticket popping out from the top of the photo..

Lastly I worked on this pretty corner of the layout. I had already pre planned what I thought I might do, so the frame was sewed down when the other paper squares were in the beginning. Inside the frame I've grouped together a Journal it circle, more flowers (I'm obsessed I can't help it!) another pretty Flair button, some stamens, enamel dots, an ombre wordfetti strip and a chipboard speech bubble sticker from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.
