It's time to share Masters Challenge #3 with you all.

We were sent an amazing colourful box of fun to create with..

Here's what I made 

I went a little crazy using the ink pads, stencils and stamps in a multitude of ways!

watercolour splotches, sponging and blending through stencils, splatters and stamping on vellum.. So much FUN!

As there were no embellishments within this range, I dipped into my D-lish Stash to sprinkle in mini clusters

And I even used some roller stamps with the ink pads

Lastly I coloured up a Heidi Swapp die cut word for my title.. Beautiful

Bridesmaid Duties | Masters Challenge 2 - Heartfelt Creations

Hi Everyone

Im back today with another Scrapbooking Memories Magazine share

This was challenge #2 for the 2016 Masters group, sponsored by Heartfelt Creations.

We were sent the Enchanted Mum collection to use, and boy was it a tricky one!

The designs and products within this collection are not something Im naturally drawn to, so it was definitely a challenge to showcase my style.

But Im quite happy with what I created

You can find the full list of what I've used to create this at the bottom of the post 

Here's some close ups..

I started by making a clear 'resist' on the background using the stamp set supplied, and clear embossing powder. I went over this with some splotches of pink watered down ink. 

Next I stamped vellum with a shimmery silver ink pad, then cut them out using the Die sets provided. I scattered these randomly over the page in 'clusters'

Next I worked on a layered photo mat. I tried to keep this a simple as possible so not to distract from the pretty background I had made, or the photo I was documenting

And lastly a few finishing touches with cut apart tags, twine and machine stitching

Hello and Welcome back!

Today Im sharing the very first challenge layout for Scrapbooking Memories Magazine.

Studio Calico was the very first sponsor, they sent us the Carolina Moon Scrapbook kit to get creative with

I really wanted to make the photograph of New York paper work, but ended up going in this direction

Now this was published back in January, and was created late last year so the memory of how I made it is quite fuzzy.. So rather than dribble on about how and what I thought I would just share the page and some close ups

Hello Cool Kid | Masters Entry Task 4 - Budget Saving technique

Hello there!! Today I'm sharing the last of my Masters Entries... 

Task 4 - Incorporate a budget-saving technique into your layout

This would have to be my most favourite photo of my 7 year old Nephew. He's a lot like Leila lately and won't stay still for photos, but when he does, they turn out pretty awesome! Choosing products to compliment the photo was easy. The colours within the Cocoa Vanilla Studio 'Made of Awesome' Collection worked perfectly, and the cool sayings within the range really suited this 'Cool kid' ! The challenging part of this task was finding the right way to show how I could incorporate the budget-saving technique. 

I used a few different 'budget saving' techniques around the page. The main one being the negative sticker from the alphabet sticker sheet..  and the multi pattern 'paper' under the photo is actually from the collection kit packaging.

I used the barcode from the paper strip - reused as part of the title cluster

the "rock star" strip is actually from the barcode strip also, but works perfectly as an embellishment

And lastly part of the packaging for this sentiment cluster

Pancakes & Strawberries | D-lish Scraps Cyber Crop

Hello Hello!! Happy Weekend everyone!!

My layout share today is for the D-lish Scraps Cyber Crop weekend..

Every month in the D-lish Scraps 'Scrap Suite' on Facebook, half the design team share challenges for fellow crafters to participate in. We take it in turns every second month, and this month is my turn, along with Sandra, Amanda & Sonia. So much fun!!

My challenge for everyone is to CUT IT UP!!

Incorporate cut files, die cuts, punched out shapes and even fussy cutting.

Here's what I came up with for my sample.. 

I've used cut files from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and papers from the February hip kits to back the heart.

Love how its turned out, and those colours YUM YUM!

Sprinkles of D-lish goodness all over the page include paper flowers

Resin pieces and wordfetti strips..

Even alphas by Kaiser craft and Dusty attic ..

and chipboard from the kits I was using.

Swallowed up by Snoopy | NSD Challenge

Hello Hello :)

Another quick share today of a layout made for National Scrapbooking Day . I followed along with a challenge in the Hip Kit Members forum on Facebook that was to incorporate 2 or more different alphas. I also used a sketch by Kristine Davidson, owner of Creative Scrappers, for NSD 2016 

Here's what I came up with

I kept the sketch orientation as is, added an extra photo and forgot to add in the tag above the photos - whoops! Really like how this turned out. Sketches and challenges are by far my favourite way to scrap, it really gets the mojo and creativity flowing!

Little Spunk | Masters Entry Task 3 - Bling

Hello! Back again with another Masters Entry share

This one was made for Task 3 - Scrap a layout that includes bling. 

This was a rather emotional layout to create. I chose a much loved photo of our family pet Sam, who sadly passed away in early 2014. He was such a little spunk and we miss him dearly. I really wanted the photo to be the Hero of the page, so I tried not to over do it with products as best as I could, but still keeping in line with the task criteria. I made the background using Clear gesso and some Spark tinsel glitter which reminded me of Sam's fluffy coat. I then made a shaker pocket with some embossed vellum, sequins and little dog veneer. I chose embellishments that I could alter to add more 'bling' or that complimented the photo and products used.
