watercolour splotches, sponging and blending through stencils, splatters and stamping on vellum.. So much FUN!

As there were no embellishments within this range, I dipped into my D-lish Stash to sprinkle in mini clusters

And I even used some roller stamps with the ink pads

Lastly I coloured up a Heidi Swapp die cut word for my title.. Beautiful

Little Spunk | Masters Entry Task 3 - Bling

Hello! Back again with another Masters Entry share

This one was made for Task 3 - Scrap a layout that includes bling.

This was a rather emotional layout to create. I chose a much loved photo of our family pet Sam, who sadly passed away in early 2014. He was such a little spunk and we miss him dearly. I really wanted the photo to be the Hero of the page, so I tried not to over do it with products as best as I could, but still keeping in line with the task criteria. I made the background using Clear gesso and some Spark tinsel glitter which reminded me of Sam's fluffy coat. I then made a shaker pocket with some embossed vellum, sequins and little dog veneer. I chose embellishments that I could alter to add more 'bling' or that complimented the photo and products used.

Materials
Cardstock, Vellum and Silver POW glitter paper - American Crafts
Bella Blvd Just add color papers - Passcode, Daily Details, Starstruck

Other products/Tools
Clear Gesso, Heidi Swapp 12x12inch Hearts Mask, White 'Spark' Tinsel glitter - American Crafts, Gold Zing powder - American Crafts, VersaMark pad, Heat tool, Heidi Swap Color Shine - Black Velvet and Gold Lame, Mixed Sequins - Studio Calico, Baxter wood veneer Dog shapes - Seven Paper, Baxter Dog phrase stickers - Seven Paper, Thickers - American Crafts, Heidi Swapp Glitter words stickers, Studio Calico Doily, Sewing machine & Thread, Tiny attacher & Staples, Glossy accents, Foam Tape

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by
More to share soon

Just add Colour | Masters Entry Task 2 - multi photo layout

Hello!! I'm back today to share my second layout made as part of my Scrapbooking Memories Magazine Masters entry

This was made for Task 2 - Scrap a layout using at least three photographs

The layout turned out completely different to how I first imagined. When I saw it was a 3 or more photo layout I thought it would be perfect for a completely different group of photos. But while scrolling through my camera roll I came across this bunch of photos from a fun afternoon at the hairdressers. I knew instantly which products would suit and the story that I could document. The page layout changed completely and the photos had to be reprinted numerous times to get the right balance throughout the page, but in the end it turned into a super fun layout

Materials
Cardstock and Vellum - American Crafts

Clique Kits - Just Add Color kit
Papers - Bella Blvd Daily Details, Echo Park #selfie words
Embellishments - Bella Blvd Trinkets full color stickers, Bella Blvd Oreo Black little bits stickers
Jillibean Soup Happy Hues paint - Amiable Aqua

So Sweet | D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone!!
Happy New Year!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are recovering from some fun new years celebrations

My first layout share for D-lish Scraps this month is 'So Sweet'
I loved the Inspiration Board from last month so much I wanted to make another layout for it!
I managed to snap up one of the crazy popular Just Add paper kits and combined it with a background I made last month

The photo Ive chosen for this layout worked perfectly with the colourings from the kit, and is just another fun snap taken while snuggling on the couch last week after a crazy few days of Christmas celebrations

I made the background using some smears of left over pink texture paste, then added a layer of whipped spackle using a piece of star punchinella as a stencil.

Journal its are perfect for grouping together in clusters with embellishments, Ive even used the tag from the packaging

I've twisted some of the coloured wire around different sized pens to make spirals, and into a heart shape to add to the main embellishment cluster

Tissue paper layered behind the title for a little extra pop of colour, and to help the title stand out

Lastly, I cut up the confetti garland and scattered them around the page with some torn strips of washi tape

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to check back tomorrow for another layout

Lego Explosion.. for D-lish Scraps

Hello again Fellow crafters!
I'm back today with another layout share, full of D-lish goodness!!

This is exactly how you will find our play room at any time of the day! Leila is obsessed with Lego, and is getting better at building things by herself.
So fun to hear her when she's in her little lego bubble

I started the background with some left over texture paste, from the layout I shared yesterday, which I smeared across the page. Next I've added an extra layer of texture using some whipped spackle and a Dusty Attic stencil . (Embellishments shown here are from the Freckled Fawn glitter chipboard sticker packs)

I've mixed up some different embellishments for this cluster - a minifetti stripD-lish flair buttonDusty Attic page pebbleFreckled Fawn glitter starskinny washi tape stripspaper butterfly and some enamel shapes

a close up of how the minifetti strips can be layered as tabs

And lastly another D-lish flairpage pebbleglitter star and sprinkling of enamel shapes to finish the page off

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check back tomorrow for my last layout share for the month

#happydays.. with D-lish Scraps

Hello Everyone!
Where has this year gone??
Today Im sharing a new layout based on the newest Inspiration Board over on the D-lish Scraps blog

Such a fun mix of pretty pastels, florals and confetti
I've taken my main inspiration from the Ice-cream photo, confetti pieces and the florals within the board.

Love how this has turned out. Im slowly making my way back through older photos of Leila that are not yet documented. This one taken from a photoshoot when she was 10 months old. She was not quite walking, confidently standing, but still a little wobbly. Only moments before the photo was taken, she had fallen over and scratched her little nose, but picked herself back up and started posing for more photos lol

I've used the sketch provided on the board, and turned it clockwise to the right. Rather than using paper or my usual paper bag as the main layer across the page, I've used a mask from my stash and some coloured texture paste. Once dry, I layered up some papers, a vellum bag and some of the new Wide punchinella in yellow, along with one of my favourite Doilies

Handy tip: To make the colours stand out on the chipboard pieces, paint them with some white acrylic paint, or even Gesso, before smudging gelatos over them using your hands. I've blended 2 pinks and a yellow on the #happydays piece to give it an ombre look. Flowers chosen to embellish are my most favourites from the D-lish store - pastel petals and some new Carnations

Love these new Page Pebbles from Dusty Attic, so much fun to colour to suit the theme of the page.
I've 'scattered' them top and bottom of the page, to replicate the confetti on the board. I could have gone crazy with them! And Hello!! How cool are those skinny washi tapes!!!!

Lastly Ive added in a minifetti strip and journal it tab to the right of the photo, then some random enamel shapes and dots to finish the page off.

Thanks for stopping by today
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my take on this months board, and that you will share your creations with us on the D-lish Scraps blog.

Sunkissed.. for D-lish Scraps

Hello Hello!! I hope you're all having a wonderful long weekend!
I'm back today with layout share number 2 for D-lish Scraps
I really love how this has turned out, although the photo doesn't show up the reason for documenting it, Leilas cute little face has just started showing little freckles!

I really love the colour palette that this layout took on. I get such a summery vibe just looking at it

I started the page by ripping some strips of tissue paper from the past kits bits, and placing them at the top and bottom of the layout. I've then grabbed a Scrap FX stencil and some distress inks and created a blended ombre effect beneath the photo area.

Next, I layered up some white punchinella, scrap pieces of a vellum bag and the photo, and popped them up with some foam sheet. Then I moved onto the clusters of D-lish goodness

To the left of the photo Ive used a new layered feather (which are super cool and sparkly) a Flair button and journal its from Past kits, a new pastel petal flowerpetite rosebud resin and a chipboard heart from Freckled Fawn. All clustered together with a messy bunch of thread

My second cluster is made up of more pastel blooms, another messy bunch of thread, glitter heartmini coloured doilypetite rosebud resin and some new tags

In the top cluster I've grouped together a piece of mini white doily with a pastel petal flowerglitter chipboard starpick & place bow and a sentiment sticker from my stash.

Lastly I went crazy with some splatters of Heidi Swapp color shine in Gold, Butter and Blush

Thanks for stopping by, see you all tomorrow with my last share for this month
Happy Scrapping!

Snapshot.. with D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone,
Sadly today is my last layout share for this current D-lish Scraps Design Team

I would like to thank Amanda for this wonderful opportunity the last 6 months, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of letting my creativity flow with D-lish goodies

This page started out completely different. It was originally meant to be a full page of white cardstock/mixed media background, based on the current Inspiration Board.. But that wasn't working for me, so I ripped half the page up and started again, by mounting the best part to an older Amy Tangerine paper. So happy with how its turned out, I hope you like it too!

To make the background Ive used 2 different shades of blue distress ink, then once dry, stencilled the arrows with a Scrap fx stencil, coral coloured distress ink and some glitter paste. Lastly some splatterings of white ink, teal and gold color shine.

I started the embellishing with the photo mat.
Ive grabbed a paper bag and some matching hand dyed muslin, and layered with a doily
The Felt bow finished the photo off and made Leila look even Cuter!

Next up, Ive layered a journal it from a past kit, with a wordfetti strip, the strip from the bottom of the pattern paper, and a few other coloured Journal Its

A sprinkling of Resin flowers, a resin birdflair button from a past kit and enamel shapes make up the last of the embellishments for the page

Thanks for joining me the past few days
I look forward to seeing what the rest of the team creates for our last month of Inspiration

Happy Scrapping

My Creative Space.. Sassy Scrapper Recipe Challenge August 2015

Hi Everyone
I have another Challenge layout to share with you.
This layout was made for the Sassy Scrappers August Recipe Challenge

I took inspiration from all the bright colours, which I love to scrap with as they are SO much Fun!

I started with a Kaiser Mist in Pink, and using some plastic packaging and water, created some random splotches around the page. I layered my photo up with some silver POW glitter paper and a favourite Doily, then wound the twine across the page and glued/stapled it into place

A few cute mini clusters of stickers, enamel dots and shapes and a paper flower or 2 from my D-lish embellishments stash

I created a banner using stickers from a Bella Blvd sticker sheet, and sewed them down with the sewing machine. More embellishments from D-lish Scraps (Flair from Clique Kits just add Color kit)

Using my trusty old typewriter, Ive added a few strips of text on vellum to finish the layout off

Thanks again for stopping by
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and can find time to Get your craft on
Happy Scrapping

Bathing Beauty.. Jot Magazine Mood board August 2015

Hi Everyone,
Today Im sharing a page I've made for the August Jot Magazine mood board

Loving the mix of blues within this board. I thought it was going to be a challenge for me to not use Pink, but I think I managed pretty well. I've stayed true to my style, and had lots of fun in the process.

Bathing Beauty is made up of something old, something new, something borrowed and so much blue!
Old pattern papers from my stash that Ive been holding on to for 'the right page' teamed with New Dish Scraps embellishments and I borrowed mums sewing machine quite some time ago, and am yet to give it back
Rather than hand writing the journalling like I normally do, I've opted for typed journalling on vellum using my typewriter

A mixed alpha title, using up some thickers from my stash. Ive had both these packs for quite a few years, neither of them opened up lol

I went straight to my D-lish stash for embellishments, plenty of pretty ones to chose from

and lastly a close up of some smooshed (is that even a word) modelling paste that I found wrapped up in my desk drawer. No idea what colour it was that I used from my Color shine collection to make it like that, it was from a few months ago

Thanks for stopping by, More to share soon for another current scrappy challenge
Happy Scrapping
