Good Things | The Cut Shoppe & Creative Scrappers

Hi Everyone! I'm back today with a super quick share for The Cut Shoppe as part of our team up with Creative Scrappers this month. We were asked to play along with sketch #305 and boy was it a fun one!

Here's what I came up with using 3 different cut files from The Cut Shoppe and some past kits from Hip Kit Club...

I've taken inspiration from the circular elements within the sketch and used cut files for each stand out piece. Designs used are from the 'Ain't life Grand', 'Year Round' & 'Inner Circle' sets.

Here's some close ups..

I backed each of the cut files with pattern papers from the kit, and layered some extra colour in the way of journaling cards, frames and die cut pieces to finish the cluster.

I also added machine stitching for some extra detail, and layered pieces with foam tape for dimension.

Lastly the date section made with a cut file and die cut piece, to mark the time in which the photo was taken..

Thats all from me today, I will be back soon with more creative fun to share.
Until Next time, Happy Scrapping!

You're So Fine | The Cut Shoppe & Creative Scrappers Link up

Hello Scrappy Friends!
I am so so SO excited to share this layout with you all!! I've been itching to share it since I made it!!
!!!!! Excited much?? Lol

This month The Cut Shoppe has teamed up with Creative Scrappers for a sketch reveal, and Boy is it a challenging and inspiring one to use!

Here's what I came up with..

Again I've scrapped a photo of Leila being cute haha
You can see I was inspired by the circular elements in the background of the sketch and thought it would be awesome to weld a few different circular cut files together to replicate the look.

I've used elements from both the Around & Around and Boys Rule cut file collections. I've welded them all together and cut them out on white cardstock, then backed them with different pattern papers from the Better Together Collection by Amy Tangerine.

Once the circles were complete, I've adhered to the page using foam tape to lift them off the page and add some dimension.

I added a couple of layers behind the photo, including my all time favourite Doilies..

Then added embellishments from the co-ordinating puffy stickers and die cut ephemera packs

Be sure to stop past the Creative Scrappers blog to see all the other creations made by The Cut Shoppe team, and don't forget to link your layouts up at the bottom of their post

There is also a discount code and free cut file set available for the entire month of August.
You can find the link to download on the Creative Scrappers blog post HERE

Until next time, Happy Scrapping

Swallowed up by Snoopy | NSD Challenge

Hello Hello :)
Another quick share today of a layout made for National Scrapbooking Day . I followed along with a challenge in the Hip Kit Members forum on Facebook that was to incorporate 2 or more different alphas. I also used a sketch by Kristine Davidson, owner of Creative Scrappers, for NSD 2016

Here's what I came up with

I kept the sketch orientation as is, added an extra photo and forgot to add in the tag above the photos - whoops! Really like how this turned out. Sketches and challenges are by far my favourite way to scrap, it really gets the mojo and creativity flowing!

Here's some close ups

Thats all from me today, be sure to stop by soon for more creative sharing
Happy Scrapping
