Project Life CATCH UP Week 38 & 39

Another week, another post catching up on Project Life weeks.
This week I'm sharing weeks 38 and 39

Week 38 was created with a pack of Technique Tuesday journal cards and a collection by American Crafts called Soho Garden.

The embellishment pack of ribbons and trim from this collection finished off this layout perfectly.
Added lots of shine and sparkle in the right places.

Now onto Week 39. Featuring the Midnight Edition and pops of yellow.
This was a lots of photos week, so I printed most out at 1.7" or 2" squared to fit more onto the cards

Love how simple this layout turned out to be with just cards, letter stickers and a journalling pen.

Really liking this colour scheme of white, black, grey and pops of bright yellow.

Thats all for this week. If you have any questions please ask :)

Project Life is a concept designed by Becky Higgins. It is a range that works anyway you want it to. You don't have to embellish your layouts or use any extra products like I do. You can easily record an album full of memories with just a Core Kit, bulk pack of page protectors and a 12x12 Album. I purchase all my core products from Craft House - Exclusive stockist for Australia and New Zealand.

Project Life CATCH UP - Week 33 - 36

My poor blog has been neglected of late, so that meant quite a few weeks of Project Life to catch up on. Ive crammed a few weeks into this post, and have a second post in the making with the remainder of the weeks I have sitting here waiting to share.

I will run through each week quite briefly, if you have any questions just ask in the comments :)

Up first is week 33
Ive used a Project life kit from Studio Calico for this week.
We didn't have a lot of photos to document for this week, so I have cut an A design pocket page in half and stapled a piece of paper (with bottom strip attached) to the edge.

I changed a couple of the photos to black and white as they weren't 100% perfect
(just like the photo of this page isn't lol)

I've added an envelope pocket for this week with a stitched tag. Inside the pocket is a leaflet from a funeral we attended during this week.

Next up is week 34
This week was put together with a Studio Calico Card Kit, and a few extra bits and bobs.
A lot more photos to use for this week so I've used a different brand pocket which is similar to the Design K pocket page.

Week 35 was another busy week
Above is shown how it looks in the album. A couple of inserts documenting the Melbourne Paperific Expo that we attended with Craft House, and the election pamphlets from my early voting day

Ive used the Rain core kit within this spread. Not entirely sure I'm happy with how its turned out, but Its documented and I can move onto the next few weeks.

Ive used 2 separate cards within the square pockets on this side.
4x6 cards cut down to 4x4, layered with 3x4 cards.

2 of the cards on this side of the layout were used at Paperific.
I made these up as quick sample cards to show another use for the 3x4 grid cards.
The Cherry Flair (Top right) was from the Fathers Day set, sold at A Piece of Cake Designs

And lastly, Week 36. Still a work in progress.
This was the week of #camppaperscissors so there are A LOT of memories to document
Once it is finished I will share it with you all.

That's all for now.. Check back soon for catch up post #2
Remember if you have and questions about any of the layouts I have shared, please ask in the comments :)

Also featuring a Charms Creations Super Star on a Becky Higgins plain divider to mark the week as I forgot to add it into the layout. I had that much to share this week that it didn't fit.

I managed to use a few flairs within this layout. 2 from the kit and 2 from the I {heart} Coffee  set

I Love how flairs add that little POP of extra excitement to a page.
They really finish the mini layouts off perfectly.
These kits from APOCD are really jam packed with lots of yumminess.
I never have to add anything extra to a layout as everything in the kit matches perfectly!
Although this stitched luggage tag was sitting on my work space as I was creating this layout.
It works so well with the rest of the layout.
The APOCD flairs are fantastic to use within Project Life. They sit nice and flat on the page.
And Raquel uses the cutest designs!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed looking though my week 32 of Project Life and seeing how I use flairs within my album.

Project Life Week 37 - Life Paper Scrapbook October PL Challenge

Hello, Ive skipped a few weeks of Project Life to show you this one as part of the new Life Paper Scrapbook Monthly Project Life Challenge (wow that was a mouthful). This month we are challenging you to use SQUARE photos within your PL layouts. Most of us are familiar with Instagram or know how to crop a photo, so this one should be easy!

The photos Im sharing are all from my week 37 layout. Yes I am pretty much up to date! YAY

I had quite a few photos to use for this week so I wanted to keep it nice and simple. Ive used one of the new Becky Higgins Project Life Themed Card packs 'LOVE'.. As you can see the patterns on the cards compliment the photos well and are enough to focus on without needing any extra embellishments. This made it super quick to complete the spread.

I printed my photos in 3 sizes - 2 sizes of squares (2 inch and 3.7 inch) and the standard 4x6

For the green card, I cut 2 lines on the edges of the frame to slot the photo into rather than just sticking it straight onto the card.

I used minimal embellishments within the layout. Here you can see the new Days of the Week stickers and an asterisk from the Alphabet pack (both new release Becky Higgins PL products)

For this photos, I used a piece of a grid journal card with some washi tape to label the day the photo was from. Then Ive stapled the photo to the cards with my Tiny Attacher

On the right hand side, again no embellishing as the cards have enough excitement that they dont need anything extra. The bottom right date card shows 2 layered square photos with a date tab on top. The date tab was actually printed on the card and I have simply cut around the bottom with a craft knife to slide the photo under.

LOVE this themed card pack as much as I LOVE my square photos. I think Ive perfected the size I need to use for the 3x4 pockets. They dont take up too much space so there is still room for journalling.

Thats all from me today. Make sure to head on over to the Life Paper Scrapbook blog to check out the other Design team layouts and see the awesome prize we have up for grabs from our generous sponsor for this month Gossamer Blue

September Colour Challenge - Life Paper Scrapbook

Hello!! Its Team A's turn to share their creations for the September Colour Challenge at Life Paper Scrapbook.

This month we were given this colour palette to play with :)

And this is what I came up with (after 2 attempts)

Ive used some new and old products for this layout. I met a lovely friend while at a recent retreat I helped to organised and she was kind enough to share some of the new Finley collection from Glitz Design with me. The colours were perfect! Ive also used a piece of my favourite vellum from Dear Lizzy, although using the black cardstock behind doesn't show it off very well.

Heres a close up of a super cute Sequin bow that I purchased from D-Lish Scraps. These bows are super cute and are the perfect size embellishment for scrapping pages and even Project Life

I added a few wood veneer stars on top of the layers of patterned papers. YUM!

I hope you have drawn some inspiration from my layout :)

As per usual we have an awesome prize up for grabs for the winner of this months challenge. Head over to the Life Paper Scrapbook Blog to see all the details, check out the other design team layouts and load up your creations to win.

Until next time
Happy Scrapping!!

September Sketch Challenge - Life Paper Scrapbook

Its Sketch Challenge day at Life Paper Scrapbook.. I had a lot of fun creating this layout

Our sketch for the month

And this is what I came up with...

Ive used papers and embellishments from the Amy Tangerine 'Yes Please' collection teamed up with some Give a Girl a stamps, sequins, a couple of paper doilies and a camera flair from A Piece of Cake Designs. Ive also experimented with my gelatos on the background, to tone down the paper a little and give a slight hint of extra colour.
I used a journalling card in the extra photo position, and went mad with Kellie's stamps from the Currently set
Love these alphas. I have many packets!

Love APOCD's cherry flairs for an added element to a page.

A close up of where I have used the gelatos to give the paper a slight metallic sheen. Definitely having fun using gelatos in different ways.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I came up with for this months Sketch, cant wait to share the next one.

Sponsor for this months Sketch is Polly Scrap Kits, a small Australian kit club that offers monthly kits for scrapbooking and project life.

Polly scrap Kits will be giving one randomly selected participant in the LPS Sketch challenge a free Project Life kit. In addition, based on the submissions to this challenge, Polly! will be inviting one person to be a guest designer for an upcoming kit! How awesome is that

Project Life Week 31 - Life Paper Scrapbook

Massive apology for this not being posted when the LPS blog post went live!! I have a great reason - Ive been busy busy running a Project Life stand for Craft House at the Paperific Scrapbook show in Melbourne. Its on again tomorrow (Sunday 1st September) Pop by and say hello if you are in the area.

Life Paper Scrapbook has a brand new monthly Challenge starting this month, and it involves my favourite subject, Project Life. Our challenge this month was to show layering within Project Life. I think I managed to complete this spread well.

For the weekly mini title card I have layered a veneer frame over some journalling labels with some pretty sequins for a little bling.

This is the full layout for the week.

The left hand side features my favourite cards from the LPS Day to Day kit. Lots of added layers on this side.

A close up of one of my most favourite journal cards, with some slight changes. Love how it turned up.

For this card, I cut the journal tab off the 4x6 car and attached on top of the photo with my tiny attacher, then added a few of the words from the tiny text sheet in Add on kit 2

I didnt have a lot of photos for the week so I resorted to using a design E pocket page protector to make some mini 6x6 layouts to document our Sunday :)

Layers of pattern paper from the paper pad and 4x6 cards underneath the photo of my nephew.

Lucky last - a pic of my yummy lunch that I sent through to a friend that day. Lots of fun bits n bobs added to the bottom left of the card.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you all to add some extra layers into your project life spreads.

Head on back to the LPS blog to share your layered layouts with us to go in the running to win an awesome Prize from our ongoing Sponsor Gossamer Blue
